Every vanilla profession has their own unique attribute (such as Attunement Recharge Rate or Pet Attribute Bonus). With the specialization rework, every profession received a carpet buff by making half of this stat baseline and applying the other half to their “central” (let’s just call it that) specialization.

For the Revenant, let’s just assume for the sake of balance that whatever their unique attribute is (be it legend swap cooldown, energy regeneration, or something else), half of it exists within their current balance state, as it does with any other profession. This still leaves the other half of it, which belongs to their Invocation line, unaccounted for. The result is that the Revenant is being punished for not being a vanilla profession.

So, for starters, with that out of the way, let’s pick a unique attribute.

Equipping Invocation could grant one of the following:

1) Energy Regeneration – Pips from 5 to 6 –
The benefit here is that Invocation Revenants would be able to use skills slightly more often and be slightly less punished for using upkeep skills. It rewards staying in a single legend more than the other suggested changes.

2) Energy Pool – Resting Energy to 60, Max Energy to 110 –
I favor this choice because it creates much more play for the Revenant, allowing them a greater range of options at the start of combat or when switching legends, without upsetting their balance state overly much.

3) Legend Swap Cooldown – From 10 to 9 seconds –
This change would grant a similar benefit to change #2, with the tradeoff being less flexibility on swap in exchange for more stun breaks, more activations of on-swap traits, and less time stuck in a single legend. Because of the number of things tied to it, it is a more synergetic, but perhaps less balanced option than the other choices.

There are other options, but these seem to be perhaps the most simple and fitting.

I’m curious as well. Doesn’t seem like the devs have the intention to include a unique stat for them though, although I would personally enjoy having something like an energy regen stat.

Every other profession gets a unique attribute with a core specialization.

That’s because unique attributes don’t exist anymore. They’ve been replaced by single traits giving fixed bonuses. Trying to pretend they used to have one before that change would be awkward and unnecessary.

That said, they are indeed the first profession in the franchise to not have one, so I agree it feels like a weird void

If you need one for lore, just call it Invocation after the line it would’ve been in.

As far as theory crafting goes, I’d say that a revenant under the old system could have used a primary attribute to boost their base energy level.

I should be writing.
