Revenant sword needs to change!
I think thats why sword#5 exists, to pull your opponent away from their pets/clones and make (slightly) better use of #2 or #3. From the other hand thats the way things are in this game. Sword Revenants are weak against multiple targets. Just as weak is a condition build against perma-resistance berserker or a ranged build against projectile reflecting engineers etc etc etc. Welcome to Rock-Paper-Scissors Wars 2
I thought the ideas were pretty cool but I’d like to post my thoughts just for discussions’ sake:
Sword 2) Increase the damage of each projectile and make it so each projectile can only hit 1 unique target. (I.E. if 5 projectiles are fired, 5 targets will be hit, if only 1 target is present 1 projectile will be fired)
Sword 3) I’m all for the idea of having it only hit the target you picked but if that is going to be the case then the skill needs to have a significantly reduced damage. It’s an evade, a high damage skill, and it tracks through anything except stealth. If it is going to only take down 1 target it needs lower damage as compensation. If it ends up being necessary the skill’s cast time can be reduced so the strikes come out quicker and it acts more like a quick burst than a series of attacks at medium speed.
The problem was shifting the damage away from autoattacks into sword 2. That was a mistake.
Sword 2 was always meant to be a snare, and they forced it to be our main nuke.
Then they nerfed UA into irrelevance by gutting its range so the time you were mid animation most targets with swiftness could walk out of its activation.
Add to that all the massive nerfs to shiro, especially the hamfisted Phase Traversal nerfs that make it so once you use PT you can only autoattack your target for several seconds, and you can only really regen energy decently unless you legend swap.
Then there’s staff which was utterly nerfed, they didn’t even bother buffing its miserable autoattack or the pitiful 150 HP healing orbs at the end of the autoattack chain.
Staff 2 in total costs 20 godkitten energy to use, that’s insane. That’s almost a utiulity level cost for an attack that as a condition requires you hit a foe that’s activating a skill. The ability already has a conditional to trigger and on top of that they add 3 times the energy cost of the initial chain to the follow up on a class that unlike thief was not given any resource management in traits.
Another problem is outside Glint and Shiro, the otehr legends don’t have viable stunbreaks. Because all our mobility is pigeonholed into shiro, and the energy costs and lack of baseline defensives mean we can’t run sword/axe to close distances and UA no longer has the range it used to, it means the rev MUST run shiro.
So a rev can’t even run Mallyx without losing significantly in another department, and Mallyx is utterly useless outside its ability to generate resistance as the other skills do nothing of worth. No viable stunbreak on mallyx.
Ventari is the biggest offender, with no good stunbreak, like Mallyx with massive energy costs on utility, and to top it off the only legend that’s utterly useless without healing power as its heal is the worst in the rev kitten nal and taking Ventari means taking a huge hit in survival for only projectile deflection.

For Precision Strike, wouldn’t it be easier to make just 1 big wave that can hit 3 targets in front of you instead of 3 smaller waves and make it a skillshot, like GS #2 on Warrior? Personaly in group situations I only use UA as a third dodge – I find it good but situational as it is and I’m fine with it staying like that.
Also the way I see things now,the problems are with our off hand options axe should have been a dagger and grasping shadow should have been on said dagger, and the axe 5 should have been on sword off hand.
I used axe and mace while leveling and for pvp I started using recently the sword instead of hammer (there was a time when I did not feel good not having a range weapon as a pug in pvp- now I stoped caring). Anyway I feel that having Frigid Blitz and Grasping Shadow on 1 weapon would increase the mobility of Rev outside of Shiro almost dramaticaly, while making off hand sword the go to for defense and kiting.

This would be a fine idea but for the fact that sword #5 never hits anything not completely stationary.
