Roaming Build similiar to pvp meta

I am kinda new to wvw and just started solo roaming with my rev. Since I don´t like the meta builds including hammer, I am looking for a build using sword/shield + staff (similiar to the pvp meta build). Does anyone have experiences running that setup? What runes and stats do you use?
