Is there any way to make Revenants as viable as other classes underwater?

Yes, to enable Dragon Stance underwater. And this is mechanically possible since Facet of Nature (f2) works underwater.

Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death.

Rev’s one of the strongest underwater classes IMO…

Set Spear 2 to auto attack + pop Impossible Odds = Everything dead in seconds.

Granted, it’s not diverse, but compared to a lot of the other classes’ underwater skill sets, it’s at least effective.

In what way is it not viable?

For starters, new revenant characters can’t regenerate energy underwater.

At all.

Regenerating energy requires a legend to be equipped. The legend new players start with is Jalis and Jalis can’t be equipped underwater.

You can’t start spending hero points to acquire a new legend until level 11. There’s a more than good chance of you’re hitting UW content before then.

Plus if you don’t research and discover that most legends don’t work UW there’s a good chance that a new revenant player wouldn’t spend their early points getting Shiro or Mallyx. In fact what you’d expect a lot of players to do is spend those points unlocking Jalis’s abilities.
