Shiro Sword/Sword !!!! Thank you anet!
To be honest, I’m a little disappointed that that’s all. I was expecting that the offhand axe at least would come with, well, a mainhand axe, and hammer apparently being the only ranged option available seems questionable to me, particularly since a large part of the hammer’s damage potential is reliant on being at long range.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
i can see why you would be concerned by the hammer being the only range but it’s not over yet, i highly doute anet will let us only have 1 range wep for rev but only time will tell….maybe the elite spec will have another range atleast i hope it does present itself :/

Being a heavy class i can absolutely see Hammer being the only ranged main for quite some time, (maybe in later specializations ). Honestly I don’t mind because it does fit my play style, I just hope that they fix the damage modifiers for the character over all. If I’m going to be in the thick of a fight I want to be able to push out as much DPS as possible while being able to take a hit too.

The elite spec is likely giving us a shield, so that won’t help much. If the datamined info about the shield is true, then the shield is focused on healing, which is kind of weird but not totally unacceptable.
We may have to wait for the second elite spec to come out before we get more ranged options.

I understand your point but Shiro is just so well-known for his blades that giving him anything else but s/s just wouldn’t make any sense.
Unrelenting Assault
“Unleash a fierce attack on nearby foes, shadowstepping to foes in the vicinity and delivering strikes. Gain might each time you strike a foe.”
Do you remember the skill in the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns™ announcement trailer, where Rytlock Brimstone blinks around through the Mists, slashing at nearby enemies? This is that skill. Your character will unleash a rapid succession of attacks while blinking through the Mists to each foe. It can be used for mobility, damage, or just pure awesomeness.
Enchanted Daggers
“Enchanted daggers will strike your target as you attack, siphoning life from the damaged foe.”
We wanted the heal skill for this stance to have an offensive feeling to it to match the aggressive nature of the playstyle. You’ll summon jade daggers that float above your character. Once they’re summoned, they’ll attack any enemy you strike, siphoning life from that foe.
Jade Winds
“Call upon the Jade Wind to turn nearby enemies into jade, stunning them for a short duration.”
In the Factions® campaign for the original Guild Wars, Shiro released the Jade Wind. This skill is something like that. OK, maybe on a smaller scale—affecting that big of an area might be a bit too strong. You’ll build up power until you release Jade Wind, turning nearby foes to jade for a short duration. We even have a trait that triggers this skill when the player is downed so you can release the Jade Wind when defeated, just like Shiro did.
Okay Anet you seriously have my attention now! Time for another beta weekend! \o/
