I’m not crazy about the heal either. I wish it gave you a bit of an upfront heal and then did the siphoning thing. Though I suppose you can always switch to another legend for a heal.
You basically have to use it right as the battle starts. Try running litany of wrtath on guardian for some practice if thats bother you.
Keep in mind also that this will only be one of two healing skills you’ll have access to as a Revenant. You’ll do just fine.
nothing really survival, just like litany of wrath nothing so viable in my view.

I like the idea of it, deal damage as you siphon life. But I think the cooldown is a bit high, for a skill with such a high risk to it, I think 30 seconds CD isn’t that good.
If someone bursts you, you will have to change your legend to truly heal yourself, unless of course you have ventari which is even worse in a situation like that.

Litany of Wrath heals based on damage done, lasts a short time, and therefore can’t be controlled that well since you only have 6 seconds to attack and heal yourself. Based on the preview, I would assume that enchanted daggers has a much longer duration in addition to a set amount of healing that’s based on per attack. With a much longer duration, there’s a greater amount of control for when to attack.

I don’t really think that’s a good answer to this. Lowering the cd is probably a better idea.
Each Shard could actually cleanse a condition instead of damaging foes.
That would be useful and combo nicely with Mallyx.

Litany of wrath is actually decent boys, i use it over shelter for “re…d” mode. Break that meta mind guys. Sure it doesnt have a block but well timed can heal for as much as 16k. You just underestimate it. So far i faceroll guardians and their shelter with it.

Yeah, you would basically NEVER run ventari if you are running Shiro because then you would basically have no real full heal.

Hey roy, while you are reading these, I wanted to say I really love the revenant concept a lot. But many of us were wondering if there would be something to address an expanded build diversity? I mean, if all the utilities are locked down, even with two weapon sets thats far less diversity than any other class.
Still loving it, but hoping something is done about that without killing the feel of the class.

In all honesty I don’t disagree with you, I would simply like to have a CD reduction, also might give the devs some ideas to improve the profession

I’d imagne they will be tuned to be roughly equal with other classes heals in the end. Just because you have 2 heals to use doesn’t mean it will end up being more healing in burst or steady hps at all.
Anyway what I was generally getting at is if the heal is a bit too situational that it can require you to ignore it and swap it’s just a little bit worrying on how pratical it’s going to be. You get my point?
I sort of like the skill though, adds dps to some hps in sustain only fights, it’s not going to do anything to the likes of a mesmer chunking you for 2/3rd of your life with a stealth shatter.

BTW, if they do tune them down, as I expect they will, I think your point will be more valid. But I dont see it all that situational. I run vampiric style builds for necro all the time, and so this heal I think is just as good a concept… kinda like troll ungent too, or AED. Designed to activate them before the last second, rather than AT the last second. Several heals fit that description, and I think they’re all just fine.

In some matchups a Shiro rev will have a hard time possibly just because of how the way the heal skill is designed. Like I said if you have to 1v1 something really bursty for what ever reason and half of your hp just vanishes, then your heal relies you to be aggressive which isn’t always going to be a great idea just after half your hp has been smashed in one combo. You’re going to go defensive. So what then? Swap legend and use that heal skill. But then if they tune it so both heals are roughly similar to the single heals of other classes you’d end up with say, just over half a heal. Factor in some poison on top of that you’re looking like less.
The heal would be great against an attrition build though. And for adding some ‘yolo’ dps to a burst.
So yeah thinking about it, I guess it’s fine. Just got to be a little bit cautious. But I do think this heal has a small bit of potential to really make some matchups way to punishing for a damage orientated Shiro rev because of the previous comments I just made.

the problem with this is: when you’re low you don’t want to attack but you want to kite so this heal is completely useless in such a situation because when you kite you don’t attack and you will not benefit from the jade daggers and you will only heal for 1600. also shiro is supposed to be the dps legend, afaik it was played with a marauder amulet on the stream.
healing over time might go well with bruisers but not with something as squishy as revenant.
Shiro will be so good with hammer. That dodge, quickness plus superspeed, that elite freeze and that healing skill. Seems designed to keep distance except skill 8
so Roy kinda like u ment for Signet of Vamp active then, how come that is so kitten bad ?

lol not really like Litany cuz Litany doesn’t steal health. If it did it would get used like crazy and guardian burst would be insane you wouldn’t be able to deal with it.
people complaining about a dps heal that you cast before the fight, wow…I can see the leech vampirism shiro builds already.
