Facets will have an icon that is very similar to an ancient kind of signet, and for a reason. Those are basically signets where the “passive” effect is an upkeep, and both skill types have an active effect.

It would have been overpowered to run with 5 signets at once AND 5 skills, so bravo ANet.

Warrior can run around with all there signets as can other classes. But if you do it in dragon stance you can’t do anything but auto attack. Upkeep skills do not work well with the class.

Just imagine having thief list initiative every second for using a signet. It does not make sense

This is why they need to make sure the Facets are balanced to not destroy your energy in 3 seconds. 6 facets essentially means you would likely run out of energy before you even got to click any of them on. That is, of course, unless they have something within the traitline that reduces energy consumption of upkeep skills. We’ll have to see.

Rather than thinking them like the traditional signets, think of them as abilities ala auras, or, using bards since Roy did, songs, that you use only one at time. If you use all, you burn through your energy rather quickly. Sure they are signet-like, but I don’t think he meant for their passives to be “on” all the time.

In all honesty, let’s watch the POI to see how they work first before judging.

none of those other professions can simply switch to another line of utility skills on the fly though…

It wasn’t criticism, I’m totally fine with facets.
It’s mainly for those saying that the icons were glyphs

Without some source of energy regen it will be reliant on auto-attack because it was said on the blog or massivelyop that the upkeep is at the cost of energy regen… I’m expecting a trait in the Glint line to affect energy regen, i.e. gain additional energy under certain conditions or something to that effect.. There’s literally no way around being 100% reliant on auto-attack if upkeep is 100% of the energy regen.

But signets are single target. facets pulse an entire group.

The one facet that is weak is the swiftness one. Swiftness is so easy to buff for a group, and after regeneration is the weakest boon. Especially in PvE.

No it’s 8PM CET. I live in the UK, which is currently in BST (same time as CET) and it’s 8PM… Basically it’s on at 7pm UTC, so convert that to whatever timezone you need.

Also it’s always on the Guild Wars 2 twitch channel. If you tune in early they will have various streamers on, but they cut them off once PoI starts
