Hey,

Everyone knows that when you start a new character you have to go through your personal storyline (10-30) and after that it’s all about the forming the Pact and defeating Zhaitan.

I’ve done those story lines several times now and I was wondering when the Rev comes out if I’ll have to re-do they again or can I just jump to the new storyline since I’ll be boosting my rev to 80 using tomes?

My preferred scenario would be: when you start your Rev you start out at Lv 80 with a basic set and you progress through the Rev personal storyline which will lead you into the new Maguuma Jungle storyline.. Sort of like how it was with Death Knights in WoW.

Do we know anything about this? Any thought?

It’s been stated that Rev’s will have the same beginning storyline as the rest of the other classes. Nothing new or changed.

They said that Rytlock has told people how to become a Revenant so it’s common knowledge. You start as a Revenant wannabe and become one while leveling up (with the current system you basically have a couple of weaponskills, and you slowly become a Guardian/Ele/Revenant/etc).

It’s not like you’re born as a Guardian or as a Revenant.

A good question would be “how is this going to make sense when Rytlock in the first half of the story is a Warrior?”
And I seriously don’t know.

Probably the same way as LA story missions work now, with the old LA in sepia tone.

My general recommendation is to simply pretend that your character belonged to another profession for the pre-HoT content and then changed professions. Or pretend that your revenant is experiencing the pre-HoT story content albeit in the Mists.
