I took a break for a bit from gw2 and the last thing i was working on was a Bolt for my rev. So, i was just wondering, is rev in a good state overall in all gamemodes still? If not, i dont wanna make my first legendary for it.

PvE wise and WvW wise nothing really has changed.
SPvP hard to say but it’s likely to be fine.

Great but has a lot of bug atm

The Rev it self didn’t change noticeably after the recent patch.

Expect that the most annoying bugs are still there, some legends are still simply not useful and the general concept of this profession retains the basic flaws that exist since HoT BWE (some legend combos have little to no stun breaks, other has little to no condi cleanse.

I hope they will really look into the real problems of Rev in the coming months.

They’re still mandatory for raids in WvW but I think most revs run Staff/Hammer.

Sword falls off pretty badly in medium to large scale fights.

If you’re just going to be doing pvp then I think you’ll be fine with sword.

I love rev’s survivability, but it needs more fixes, alittle buffs here and there, and new weapon or two.
