The current Revenant has trouble using its skills because it doesn’t generate enough Energy. In GW1, we had many different ways of recovering Energy or using skills that didn’t use any, not just the auto-attack. I suggest adding and/or changing traits to help.

Perhaps the Venom Enchantment could be modified, for example, to give you a buff with 1 pip of Energy Regeneration when you poison something. It could not stack intensity; probably give some odd seconds of it with a cooldown, or stack duration.

Maybe have a trait to gain 5 Energy on dodge. Maybe on Retribution somewhere.

You need more than that; I’m just throwing out some ideas. Maybe 1 in each specialization. They should be small effects individually, but enough to add up when you use multiple.

Also, anyone else have ideas on this subject?

Attack skills that restore energy rather than consume it. The conditional weakness on staff 2 could instead be turned into a conditional energy restore and I believe it would have far fewer complaints (maybe make a nod to GW1 and rename it to Zealous Sweep?)

If not adding ways to increase the energy regeneration, perhaps a slight reduction in the energy used instead, perhaps as a feature of the trait that corresponds with each legend e.g. “Natural Abundance: Create energy fragments around Ventari’s tablet when using a legendary centaur stance skill. Legendary centaur stance skills cost 10% less energy to cast.”

I think that playing each Legend decently should reward more energy.

For Ventari it could be something like, when your Tablet passes the ally or your Fragment/Orb gets picked up, gain X energy.

For Mallyx, simple. Conditions on you give you better Energy regeneration.

For Jalis it could be that whenever ally gets hit (with ICD per ally) in the stone form (Rite of the Great Dwarf), you gain energy.
