Didn’t see any good topics for revs with tips and tricks, and extended tactics.

I came to gw2 in april and during both seasons ended in end of diamond. So I cann’t really advise anything cool and 100% true.

It will be very good if some more experienced players could write here and help new fellows with revenant class.

I would mostly aprecciate tips how to fight DH, especially if there are 2 of them. I heard that you should burst them fast but I manage them only after baiting all their traps and blocks.

You can learn to fight DHs using retri rev. Its generally worse, but way more forgiving against this kind of matchups that rely so much in CC like thieves/DHs. As for tips, play rly aggresive abusing your “immune” offensive cds like UA or surge of the mists to burn their deffensive cds. If you play aggresive enough you will win the cds race. If you play it safe, he will just heal over and over. DHs are a slow kill, so burtsing them doesnt mean to kill them in less than 10s, but rather making him waste all his cds and then burst him ezpz

I usually start in shiro with staff, using staff 5 to trigger traps and force stunbreaker, then use wait for second wave of traps, shiro dodge and hide behind obstacle with superspeed against their f1. Traps end, use PS and sword 2, UA to trigger dodges, swap to glint and dtaff 5. Usually there are dead. If not and they use f2 wait for it to end and finish off. But it takes about 20 sec. Is that ok?

Pretty solid tactic, and yes, killing a DH in ~20s is rly good, you cant expect any better in a 1v1. As I said, DHs are slow kills when they have all cds up

Quick Tips vs DH’s (as you can imagine it’s mostly all about traps):

If you get caught by Maw, you can utilize the slow effect for extra long blocks—just remember to not do this if their F1 is off cooldown, as it’s unblockable.

You can purposely trigger their traps to proc extra big Infused Light heals if you’re falling behind.

When you see them lay down new traps, they are definitely probably going to try to use F1 to pull you into them. Use your Gaze of Darkness and Staff 3 blinds and put some distance between yourself and the guardian to allow more space/time to react with an evade.

Always make sure when you’re going for your burst that you are either in Glint with your legend swap off CD or, if you’re stuck in Shiro, make sure that you don’t dip below 35 energy so you can pop Phase Traversal to finish them off through their Focus 5/F3.

Most will be using Marauder’s, but pay attention to the damage their burning is doing… If they are in a condi-burn-hybrid-build type thing, you’ll need to play a lot more aggressively (and can as they probably won’t have as many traps or as much defensive stats) and stay on top of your cleanses.

As for fighting them 2v1… I mean, yeah, you shouldn’t really be excepting to win or trying to roll through 2v1 situations in sPvP. Rev’s really excel in +1’ing people around the map and boon sharing in team fights; that should more be your focus.
