Hint says: “Fang of the vinetooth found in Auric Basin” …. I remember fighting one in a cavern…. Can’t remember where the cavern is tho…. If I find it again, is this the vinetooth they are referring to? Are there others on the map and is the fang a random drop?

I believe its a champion in Auric Basin, could be an event, have not discover it yet.

There’s a legendary one that spawns after the pillar event (I think). You can find it north of the eastwatch waypoint if its up.

There is also a Vinetooth champion that is a Hero Point in Auric Basin. It is in the South east near Mossheart Walk.

No idea if where the fang comes from though.

What Hooglese said. I got this from the event from after the pillar event, before Octovine in Auric Basin. Not sure if it specifically spawns at that time or the event chains, but can confirm you get the item from the event. 100% drop rate? Not sure, but got it on my first time.

Correct. On the Eastwatch pylon events, right after you activate the third pylon, Sage Korin gets eaten by a Legendary Vinetooth Prime that you have to defeat on a 10 minute timer. The boss needs heavy cc for burn phases and if that breakbar isn’t depleted, it instantly kills a player character and receives a growing damage buff.

The area prevents you from efficiently reviving downed state players because it reduces the effectiveness by half during the fight. So reviving dead players isn’t an option on the strict timer. It’s a little difficult.

I was wondering maybe if we could get a small organized group going for others like me after the collection item? If so, hit me up in game.
