Never see S/S Revenant. I noticed that there were very few condis in those fights. How does your build handle condis?
It’s weak against condis and that is what makes power rev balanced as opposed to OP. Only cleanses are legend swap and staff 4 which have 10-15s cooldowns. Sometimes i run saffron bread (-20% condi duration) and in pvp I mostly run rune of leadership. In wvw one can also run hoelbrak or melandru runes for -40% incoming condi duration.
I get completely rekt by condi mesmers, with condi necro, condi warr and condi thief it can go either way but they do have an advantage. Best you can do is cycle blocks and evades to not get hit in the first place. I actually fight quite a few condi tanks in my first roaming video but its not as entertaining to watch as fights take long. The most watched videos are glass cannons, especially montages like thieves 1-shotting people.

Would definitely recommend marauders armor and weapons as the extra vitality can be helpful without sacrificing too much damage. Toughness is kinda meh, its good in long fights but i think its a bit wasted on rev cause you have so many ways to actively avoid damage unlike necro who has to soak up all the damage, so toughness is more valuable to them.
PvE rev is very different so thats not gonna be very helpful. Its okay to get a feel for skills like range and cast times but thats about it. Unranked pvp is a good place to start. Make sure to have the meta pvp build with retribution (not invocation) as stability on dodge is godsend for beginners in a teamfight. Even I rarely swap out retribution in pvp these days with so many dragonhunters around. I dont know if there are good revenant guides for beginners out there but I will say that to get sorta good on rev you need to be aware of your energy pool, energy costs and cooldowns. If you die 1v1 vs a power build, it is probably because you didnt use all your blocks, evades, heals etc. In teamfights you need to avoid the aoe condi spam unless you run mallyx. Focus freecasters and cc them, know when to disengage when under pressure as you do have the necessary tools.
