What happened to the legend dialogue?
‘’ironhammer is ready to strike’’ is something Jalis is saying once in a while.

they have a few lines of dialogue tied to skills, but we were told in the reveal that the legends would actually converse with you, as in your character would get in a conversation/argument/debate with their legend
Aha, well then i got no clue. Mabye something you’ll get later on? Where and when exactly did the devs mention this?
They happend that they don’t exist and i don’t think they are going to exist ever. Was a wet dream. I think too much staff for arenanet to do this and give a class a really unique difference, seems a little unfair to other classes. I think for those reasons there is not going to exist ever.
I think they decided to drop it because of how annoying it would get, people are already tired of hearing all the groaning legends make and “I can outrun a centaur” just imagine having to hear the same full blown conversations over and over again.
I feel like they talked more during the early betas and now they tend to hardly ever talk and just grunt. I think I’d really prefer the talking to the grunting. I can understand you don’t want them talking too much but I think they could talk a little bit more.
HNNNGGG!!
WRAAAGGH!
GRRRRRRNGH!
Sounds like the old Tyrian legends came from a time of grunting cavemen.

They do talk! I know Glint groans very loudly when I turn on Infuse Light. And occasionally on swap they’ll say something, too.
Mallyx and Jalis does the best grunts, really. But still, they’re grunts… :P
Would really love some extra iteration in this area but since there are voice actors involved I’m not sure how feasible it is.
Personally the only time I enjoy the legends talking grunting is if its Shiro.
While it might add some flavor to the class I think it would get annoying pretty quickly.
I occasionally hear Glint say something along the lines of “Dragon and hero together!”, but it’s mostly her grunting and growling. Shrio screams quite a bit and also demands that he be released when I use Impossible Odds. Jalis also sounds angry. I haven’t used enough Mallyx or centaur to know.

Mallyx will say “Now you shall witness true ultimate power!” when activating the elite skill. His heal also says something along the lines of “This merely delays us.”.
they talk on the healing skill????
Out of all, Mallyx seems like the most talkative one. He has quite a few lines and best of all, they’re not annoying at all.

I like Jalis maniacal laugh. But other than that legends itself doesnt have many dialogues. Take alook at Ventari – olny one line. Ppl getting annyoed (also me) by all these lame screams while asking for actualy dialogues like we were supposed to get.
Playing Smite since mid s2, f broken gw2.
Shiro talks the most out of the bunch. I played with Ventari for a while, and hes just completely silent, I couldn’t get him to say a thing.
Shiro is fun to listen to though. Supposedly each legend is meant to have a different attitude towards the Revenant channeling their power, for example, Mallyx is offended that a mere mortal wants to channel his power, so his dialogue is quite aggressive, while Jalis and Glint are quite happy to return to the battlefield again, however, Shiro’s lines imply that he is displeased with being channeled at first, when he says things like “I demand that you release me.”, but this changes, when he says things such as “I have returned, to fight at your side.” which implies Shiro at first dislikes the Revenant, but eventually gains respect for them, when he sees the proficiency in which they use his power.

In my experience thus far, shiro’s lines are completely random and have no sense of “progression” towards acceptance
I would really hate it if they did converse with you about the weather, state of the jungle ecosystem and how much blood was dripping from your blades at random.
Now if they added it as a little extra in story missions or if you get to certain places with that legend that would be awesomesauce. Think meeting Ogden with Jalis, fighting the shatterer with glint or going to the grove as ventari.
It’s okay as it is now, I found it rather fun when the legends talk to you an it’s not very often, so it’s not getting annoying.
