Ok folks, its fashion time!

I was trying to envision what my Revenant would look like not only armor wise, but what weapons skins I would use also. Going to use this BWE weekend to experiment with my existing skins and transmutation charges.

Personally I am interested in mist/magical style weapons, as we are able to manipulate the mists to evoke damage and abilities, hence requiring a unique looking weapons.

So we get Hammer, Sword, Mace, Staff, Axe, —Shield? Aquatic?

The mystic forge weapons have a good deal of options:

Reaver of the Mists, Whisperblade, Wall of the Mists, Eidolon, Foefire’s Power, Mjölnir, Infinite Light.

Also Chaos Weapons look very flashy and “Mist like”.

Mistforged Hero weapons from the WvW Tournament are very fitting. I have the shield for my engineer and Chronomancer.

T3 Asura Weapons are also a choice, especially if you plan to roll Asura like me. They have this magical, electrified tech look to them with particle effects, if you have karma to burn.

As for the staff. I had some interesting for the lulz choices, especially with the combat usage! The Crossing?! Kasmeer’s Staff !?

I was thinking Jormags breath + fiery dragon sword for my swords, entropy for the hammer.

Along with them I’m probably going to use GW1 staff, and Phoenix Hammer.

Still not sure about Mace. Maybe Braham’s, since I have that one sitting on my Guardian almost unused.

Dreamthistle Sword with Wall of Thorns, whenever Revenant gains the ability to use Shields.

Balthazar’s Skin for axe/mace/sword/hammer

I’m going to use the Juggernaut hammer for my future Rev. Still undecided on his sword/sword skins.

Tormented sword and shield for my future Chronomancer (which will ultimately also go with her chronomancer shoulder skin)

Maybe Super Long Bow for my future Dragonhunter. I already have the skin unlocked and it looks nice so…

Dreamthistle Greatsword for my future Reaper, being as my necro already has a dreamthistle theme going, and he already has the greatsword and staff skins unlocked. He’ll look awesome

Probably Ceremonial staff for my future Druid – being as my ranger is called Shing Jea Marksman, and his outfit has a particular colour theme and specific weapons he uses to accomplish that look.

They just won’t be RNG anymore, you don’t know if they’re easy (I’mplying RNG means hard…). However if you still want something RNG that fewer people have there will be golden fractal weapons.

And I highly doubt they’ll be all over the place, since most of those skins don’t even look good. I have Staff and I currently use it on 0 of my 9 characters. I’d trade that for mace or torch.

I’m not using them during the BWE, as I’m kind of using the betas as a chance to just go wild and use random skins I’d normally never get a chance to use on my main characters (why use the same skins I see all the time anyway?), but…

I think I’m going with an ocean theme on my Revenant once HoT comes out proper and I can start my actual main Revenant. No real reason for it in terms of Revenant “themes” or anything like that, there’s just a handful of ocean themed weapons I want to use (namely the anchor hammers and the Shark Tooth axe / sword, and some of the Orrian weapons are also pretty nice) and it seems like an interesting weapon theme to play around with. Different enough from most of my other characters that it can stand out, and not a theme that I see other players using much.

I will be using Jormag’s Breath with Frostfang. It’s a lovely combination.

I’ll use the Chaos skin for my hammer and old faithful Bifrost for staff.

For the beta revenant weekend I used the ley line staff when doing Ventari. It looked pretty good.

I’ve been collecting interesting hammer skins like Black Fleet and I made the ascended Terracotta one … not sure what I’ll settle on, it depends on race/gender/color palette. I find that I often like to go against the standard expected look for a profession. Eg my necromancers tend to be colorful and notably lacking in skull motifs and my sylvari mesmer’s fighting duds are subdued and close fitting, hiding all of him but his fingertips.

I haven’t really considered sword looks yet as again they depend on the rest of the revenant’s appearance. Nor maces, as I’ve not yet played mace as a regular weapon on anyone. Axe, hmm, I gravitate to Truth and similar real looking ones. But I have the Wintersday one and that might suit quite well.

Fractal Skins (silver first then the gold ones when I go from 50 to 100) then the new legendaries.

Because of his thrusting animation, I found the rapier skins look very nice on Revenant
