Why does the Revenant not have a profession specific attribut? Why doesn’t Invocation give a bonus on his energy threshold for instance?
Every other classes are able to get some bonuses for either using certain types of weapons or skills or for their profession’s mechanism.

Let’s give an example:
Thiefs work with initiative for their weapons skills, which have no cooldowns, and cooldown timers for their non-weapon skills. Through different traits, Thiefs can either increase their initiative threshold and gain or reduce the cooldowns of their skill sets. Or both.
Revenants on the other hand have to work with both, energy and cooldown timers, for all of their skills (weapon and non-weapon ones). They can neither reduce their cooldowns nor increase their energy threshold or gain.

I beg you, add some options for Revenants to have at least a better energy management. Make Invocation add one or two bars of energy (on both sides of the threshold) through some minior traits.

Or in other words:

Can someone copy paste the explanation on why energy increasing traits are bad, please? The profession attribute system doesn’t really exist anymore it was from a practical point of view removed during the specialization patch.

I believe it was karl mclain who said that Revenant has been balanced around its current energy pool and generation. Clearly this isn’t the case since they constantly keep increasing the cooldowns and energy requirements.

They shouldn’t add energy increasing traits, they should use invocation to improve the synergy between the legends. There are some legends that cause bad weaknesses when used together which led to the shiro glint being the only real viable combination.

Traits in invocation that give certain ablities when different combination of legends are used, like an f2 skill (similar to dual wield on thief) would be a better idea.

Such a trait would end up becoming 100% mandatory and likely limit build diversity further because playing without that trait would be considered sub-optimal.

We’ll probably never see a Revenant attribute, but in regards to energy management, I still hope that they just take away the energy requisite from weapon skills someday.

honestly asking for something like that is extremely dangerous. Knowing Anet they will increase the cooldowns by at least 50% once they remove the energy requirments without having the players test just the energy removals first. I dont think that is a risk people want to take.

I doubt they’d increase the cooldowns of the weapon skills seeing that a number of them already have reasonable cooldowns, and unlike other professions, we don’t have traits to reduce weapon skill recharges.

Still, its Anet, so you never really know what sort of heavy-handed change they’d pull off with it if they did make such a change.

Don’t forget this is the same Anet that destroyed evasion thief and took nearly the entire class with it by butchering feline grace just to make people pay for it in the form of an elite spec. So that is something they will probably, no, more than likely do.

Empty vessel would be a good candidate for that.

Also worth noting that they will neer buff revenant. If anything prepare for more nerfs as community for whatever reason still crying about this dog class already.

What do you mean? I dont give a kitten anymore about gw2 as a whole. Ant is probably one of the worst gaming companies i have met.

Whenever there is a talent/trait/perk that increases pool of class resource/makes it regenerate faster/more reliably it quickly becomes mandatory for every build and class feels incomplete without it.

See – Necromancer and Vital Persistance, Thief and Trickery line an so on.

You just seem one of the more active & vocal members of the comunity …… at least when it comes to the state of Revenant….and you actualy bothered to make a list of all current bugs and a very big document on how to remake the whole class to be on par with others…..I just came back to the forums like 3 days ago (about 8 days worth of break,playing grindframe)….and your bug list still gets updated to date.

Both are quite old tho. Im visiting forum once in a while to see whats up but my forum activity drastically dropped and i dont log on gw anymore.

The revenant’s attribut is it’s ability to switch between 2 legends. And this is support by different traits in the invocation traitline.
