we still did not get any answers about getting our revenants few days before HoT.
for obvious reasons

That would be cool but I am not holding my breath for it. For now I am planning for Oct 23rd. Anything we can do before that would just be a bonus. Otherwise I am prepping in the days to come.

I see no reason why a class should be released early. As it’s a part of HoT it should be released with HoT. First day will be spent crafting and making tomes and getting all gear set

I figure this would be a pleasant but largely unexpected.

it would be a nice surprise if Rev got released a few days early so people could level and be at the same point as friends and guildies when HoT released so they could experience it together, but of course I wouldn’t expect it, other than FFXIV, I don’t think any MMO has released a class “early”.

Don’t see the problem with being able to play all content on release day… 1-80 in 5 mins with tomes, apply armor that’s been waiting in the bank, and awaaaay we go.

In regards to a prior comment. I see more than enough reason to release the revenant before HOT. Now the ELITE spec for the class should be held off to be released with the rest of them for obvious reasons. I think 90% of us already have enough experience scrolls and tomes to ding max level when it hits any way. But still… for those that don’t, They wont get to experience the new content right away…

I would like to see a Revenant headstart for those who pre-purchase, if only because this allows one to work toward having enough Hero Points for Herald on release. Ultimately, if I were to guess, it depends on Roy thinking if the base class is “complete” in time for it. A 3 day headstart by itself would be awesome.

Yeah it’s more like for waypoints and hero points…that would be awesome. Can we have some words on this? Please?

I agree with this. I need to speedrun Map Completion so my OCD let’s me start HoT content without eating me up. Arenanet please. This doesn’t hurt anyone.

I’d have to say, Roy’s been super-communicative here, and this has been buzzing around for some time now. I’d say it’s a long, long, long shot at best.

Having said that though, since I am a WvW’er mainly, I’m all set 5 minutes after release like others have said – all tomes, ascendeds, etc are ready and waiting.

Dont count on it. Even for beta 3 there’s still stuff that’s not gonna be finalized, as we’ve seen some traits are still in discussion. We dont even know if the jalis, glint and ventari skills will be usable underwater for beta 3 yet.

I would even be happy if they did a head start on Character creation only. That way me and my OCD can spend a hour tweaking my looks, even though I could not enter the game and play.

I hope we do get a headstart, this month is going to be torture, I’ve already got all my stuff prepared, so doing things on my necro feels like a waste, every soulbound thing I get is like a twist of a knife that says “you could have got this on your revenant”, I can’t even start making ascended gear for my rev because I need armor and weaponsmithing, so making ascended mats feels like “what a waste, you could have used those mats to level your Rev’s 400-500 crafting” T_T

the point of a headstart would be to get everyone on a level playing field, as if they were any other class, not to let revenants get ahead.

Agree, all we want is the base rev, so we can prepare it for the HoT launch and unlock there the herald, like every other elite spec ;-)

because then other classes would (quite rightly) complain that we are getting things before them. stop being greedy.

the point would be a level playing field, not an advantage. we don’t even know HOW the elite specs are unlocked yet, they may require HoT story progress (eg, the first chapter of the HoT intro missions complete), which would make unlocking the elite impossible anyway

Wow, no need to get hostile. If you want to look at it that way then we don’t need a headstart. Revenant is a HoT feature, just like the Elites. Therefore, you’re being greedy too for wanting it.

at the 1st day you will have halloween eve and new wvw map and new pve lore, im playing for 3 years now i know all the old staff i wanna see the new staff, but also i wanna get the FEELS of leveling a revenant , pls anut gif as arly aksec
