Shiro/glinth is very nice atm
The high mobilty(from Shiro) allow u to escape from the most dangerous sitiuations and the dmg is just Epic.
Ive mixed berserk and knight stats for more sustain and it work very well.
U can try without the stabi line for more dmg

Mallyx / Herald is amazing as well, with staff and mace/axe. You can use Unyielding Anguish for engage or escape as well as staff 3 / 4 / 5 for additional sustain and for escaping. Scavenging Runes/Dire Armor.

I bought karma armour from vendor in Orr with Rampager and Runes of Balthazar which give be a base +45% burn duration and +175 Condition Damage. For trinkets I re-used my ascended gear which is with berserker stats. That way I also have enough precision for crit (around 50%) and crit damage around 150-200 depending on weapon stats.

Here is a list of vendors: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Temple_armor

If you have played for some time you will have plenty of karma from doing things like map completion etc. Another option would be to use badges from WvW as there also are some vendors selling armour in BL, but both WvW and Karma armour can not be sold or salvaged (don’t put any expensive runes on this kind of gear)!

My toughness are very low, so there is almost no point in using Potential Sharpening stones (a small mount from toughness and vitality are added to power) as tool. I am going instead with toxic stones which will give me + 100 CD and 10% condi duration. Veggie Pizza will also add 18% duration (much cheaper then the “full” 20% ATM). With trait on crit for torment in Corruption (+ poision with 50% duration) you will have hammer provide torment+poision which normally is only a damage weapon. It is the best ranged option at the moment and fore AoE damage.

With this I have burn, torment, poison as condition damage. Chill and vulnerability as control and to get more impact from damage (both direct and condition). Vulnerability work in the same way as might, so use sword as main hand (fast hitting and on multiple foes; but must be in a very close range). You have mobility skill from off hands depending on which you go for. Shield will give you protection as boon and block/small heal.

I have been using Centaur stance during capping of keeps. It is good in the way it can reflect projectiles (much like Mesmers Feedback), but it have a high cost in energy, so you will need to spam #1 skill much to keep it up. It also have a very condition clear for short range from table for allies and with salvation line you will have on dodge condition clearing for your self and 4 other. Salvation have blind on swapping of legend and also a trait you can pick for blind on heal and with the way you can trigger Ventari’s table to heal with a very short CD, it is very good at keeping blind, burn (from runes) and even with protection (of you set herald trait to it). I don’t think there is any healing for Revenant with a short CD to trigger on heal traits and runes as often as Ventari’s Table. Burn will happen at where you are standing and not at table.

Try out to switch legend for different situation. Shiro are good for melee with a few enemies (bit to not have any fields to make combination with finishers), but Jalis are better in when you have several foes around you with Vengeful Hammer rotating. With light field from Solace (Centaur) you have access to more condition cleanse (depending on what finisher you and your party use). The same for Jalis road and Mallyx’s Dark fields. Hammer #2 do also have a dark field. Mace have a fire field (which is good for providing more might or burning bolts with Sword whirls).

With Salvations GM trait you will also have access to daze on all of your elite skills. It is very useful if you would want to pick Jalis or maybe Glint with something that work much in the same way as Shiros Jade Wind.

With this set up I have managed to solo camps in BL, but you have to be careful not to draw too much aggro at the same time from guards. Use Jalis and taunt to get only some guards to attack you from the group or use Hammer #1 with dark field to get the same effect. Swap legend to renew energy and use either sword UA (hitting multiple guards). Here it is useful to use sigil which A) increase duration of poison and/or burn B) on swap with same condition and C) Vulnerability/Might from sword.

Sigil of bloodlust and corruption are also good option, but you have to look into what stats you have on your weapon and how that change when you swap. With sword you might want to have berserker/assasin stats, but with OH you might want to have condition on your swords stats (PVC as an example).

In short; shiro are good, but there are other options there might work better when you put effort into learning how to use them as like on combo with fields, change traits as needed and food/tool.

I believe that staying with berzerker Glint/Shiro is the best option for roaming. Is what I use (full zerker tho).

Glint/Shiro might not be the strongest of all. I belive that the viper’s Shiro/Mallyx is stronger in 1v1, even more against condi builds, but Glint/Shiro is still pretty strong AND is more suitable for roaming for a couple reasons.

1- You can use staff or hammer. Hammer is super strong outside duels (and even in some duels you can do just fine if you are conservative with your defensive cooldowns). So, if you’re roaming with a buddy that can get the enemies attention while you spam hammer, zerk hammer is kittening great. Power staff is not particularly better than Vipers mace/axe, but you have the option.

2- Glint. The heal panic button is GREAT for roaming for when you’re being ganked. The reveal is also amazing against the amount of stealth that people who roam have. You also have a extra stunbreak that is super useful. Also, perma swiftness, that is a must for a good roamer. And a decent knockback with Glint’s elite to stop ressers. Vipers Mallyx is great for teamfight damage, but its behind the support and utility that Glint have, that is super useful when roaming, because you already have enough damage from other sources.

3- Burst potential. Zerker Glint/Shiro have a bigger burst potential than vipers Mallyx/Shiro, because of the nature of the damage. And burst damage is pretty important while roaming in WvW, because people will try to disengage, or their roaming buddies will try to support your target, or people will run to a zerg or tower. So, bursting people down quickly and moving on fast is the ideal way to gank people in WvW.

Anyway, in resume I think that vipers Mallyx/Shiro is stronger but power Glint/Shiro has better tools for roaming. For the build, if you run the PvP meta build while full zerker, you will be completely fine. You really don’t need any defensive stat, your defensive traits and skills are more than enough for you to be tanky while in full zerker.
