how to fix pre hot revs lore
why has ANet to tell you your Story?
it is YOUR Character and it is YOUR Story – nobody ever said how you’ve become an elementalist or a thief.
Whith the Whole Mist-Lore-Shredder ANet created a Multiverse-Setting where it’s totally possible to be a Revenant before rytlock travelled the mists.
aside of that – i would be totally happy to have a new starter instance with the rev – but this won’t happen ^.^
Because giving us some sort of explanation regardless even of how abstract, is better than doing nothing. If this multiverse thing you say is real then they need to explain it better in game or have a quick explaination of it during the revenant opening cutscene. I don’t think that’s asking for much.

OP’s version is a bit silly but why would be too long a topic.
I will just imagine my dude as being a warrior(or necro) until when Rytlock gets back and teaches people about this new source of power.

use your own imagination like how people do in PnP games
But they did explain it on the blog.
Ya that’s a blog outside of the game. And its kind of hard to make up 100% of the story for your character when the events of the game take place. All I’m asking for is a small cutscene in the intro if you pick a revenant which can be as abstract as they want to make it explaining how I can exist as a revenant while rytlock is still a warrior. During zhaitan. I should not have to depend on a blog explaining about multiverses with the mists there should be something easily accessible explaining it quickly so I can be like ok ill buy that thanks and can move on such as my suggestion in my first post. But it ahould be explained In game not outside of it. Also I shouldn’t have to pretend I was another class before hot that’s kind of lazy on anets part and I thought I was playing a triple a 10 out of 10 game. If they cant come up with something in game that’s really bad. If they gonna go that route make it like dk was in wow would make sense at least

How do you know for sure that it’s not going to be explained in the game too?
I hope that it is that was kind of the whole point of what I was saying but everyone that posted previously seems to think outside sources like dev blogs and or pretending your another class until hot starts is fine. And from what everyone’s been saying it seems like this is the case I hope I am wrong and they do add something explaining how I can be a rev before rytlock unless they rwtcon him as always a revenant which would also be equally bad. He needs to travel time through the mists or send you back in time for it to make sense
Roleplay.
If you care that much about the story to the point where you think a mild inconsistency in gameplay mechanics will completely ruin the lore immersion for you, then learn to roleplay.
My Revenant will obviously be a Revenant when HoT launches, because profession changing is mechanically impossible in this game, so ill be roleplaying her as a Warrior until we get the lore details on how one becomes a Revenant, then I will be roleplaying her a Revenant. Why am I not worried about the fact she mechanically will be a Revenant before we find Rytlock in HoT – Imagination~
How will I get round her being a Revenant in the Personal Story when I do it with her? Well, according to her backstory, she was a Warrior before she became a Revenant, and the personal story takes place before the time she transitions from Warrior to Revenant, therefore ill roleplay her as a Warrior when I do the personal story. Simples.
ArenaNet doesn’t need to make mechanical elements for every single lore detail, because they assume their players are human, and humans generally have the power of imagination.
