Charr all the way. No respect for female human meta and salads. They will never be real revenants.

Human male ftw. Have you ever heard anyone say “Oh, it’s too bad this armor clips/looks terrible on human.”

Norn. They have affinity to the spiritual world (which is part of the myst).

Charrs are more related to engineering/warcraft; Asuras are mostly linked to the magic, and Silvaris are a young race without too much link with the legends of the past. Humans and Norns seems the more “natural” but as I said Norns had heavy roots with the spirirual world (albeit most of their totems are based on forces opf the nature).

Mine is sylvari but i had a hard time picking between a few. Lore wise there are 3 top choices….
Sylvari- Due to ties to Ventari and generally being open/curious about everything.

Norn- Spiritual in nature they are more likely to venture into the mists to obtain revenant powers. Also some may already have experience with the mists/spirit world.

Charr- Symply for Rythlock being the first one. They are also a race that would be willing to take extreme measures and unorthodox means as long as they win the fight/war in the end.

If lore doesnt mean abything to you go off of armor/ skill animations.

Norn because youre bigger then everyone else, therefore asserting your dominance.

Human for no clipping or stuff looking weird.

I’m currently a Male Asura which looks awesome and all but I’m starting to go back to preferring my Male Norn purely because I find they look much better in general and you can visually see everything. Plus I’ve noticed size makes no difference in this game anymore. Slowly levelling up my Male Norn rev again!

I went Norn because I’m tired of making Humans… but also still really like Humans.

Then I give ya the frist one, human shoulders when in the muscular “makeover” Total fail with some skins. And alot of gloves dont scale very good so there ya go

i rolled a norn as usual in the end.

My revenant is the first human character I made. Because racial skills don’t apply to revanants and I wanted to see what playing as an ugly human was like.

There are no Charr legends, yet once again the first Revenant was a Charr. This kind of implies the idea that race and even philosophy have no bearing on becoming a Rev.

Humans and Norns have a connection to their respective gods and spirits, yes, but Legends are something different entirely.

Frankly, I think any race works well in game lore and gameplay equally well. My two Revs are a male Sylvari and a male Human.

You posed the question wrongly. You should ask “which race should I play on all classes and never look back?”. The obvious reply is CHARR.

I went with charr because I love their animations and the mistward armor is a cool looking set that finally fits well on a charr, although I much prefer the staff animations on asura. My solution to that is to just run hammer instead.

I went Sylvari because of the new dialogue in the story (as before, I mained a Norn Ranger), but I do have 2 open character slots that I might check out Charr and/or Asura because of the more unique animations (plus I would like to try a condi build without having to mess with my current build). Before I learned that Sylvari would have their own take in the story, I wanted to make a Charr anyway because it would be the only race I don’t have a max level on, so chances are I will end up with a second Rev that’s a Charr.
