suggestion for yearning empowerment
currently this trait increases torment duration by 33%. I like the idea of this condition trait line improving your torment. the problem with this is that there is a cap of 100% condition duration, and this trait makes that too easy to cap. this trait +40% duration from food = 73% duration for torment, that only leaves 27% duration left for runes and sigils. the tormenting runes sound like they were made specifically for a condi revenant, yet in pve and wvw these runes make you go above and beyond the cap on duration making the whole rune set feel wasted, and this is not counting sigil of malice or a future +20% torment duration sigil like they have for every other condi.
my suggestion, change this trait to a +20% torment damage, rather than duration (similar to what ranger traits do with bleed.) you could also change what condition food does, as +40% duration is way overpowered for food, making it pretty much required for any condition build. or you could just take away the +duration cap (as I have no idea why there is one anyway.)
I agree that the trait should be changed to +20% increased torment damage, i don’t agree with the +40% condition duration food being removed.
There’s -40% condition duration food that can be utilized to counter the effectiveness of said food, it’s up to the opposing player to decide whether they want to utilize it or not.

So, the reasoning for nerfing the Revenant in this way is because of Condi food in WvW? That’s pretty bad.
At the very least suggest a buff to accompany this nerf.
this is not a suggestion for nerfing the revenant, if 20% more damage isn’t enough of a replacement, they can buff that. this is merely trying to fix the cap on condition duration in a roundabout way to promote more build diversity, makes more rune options worth using, and is a easier to understand system (as the game fails to communicate a cap on condition duration very well.)

No. I like my 33% Duration. Without it, i can not cap to 100% without Food anymore.
YE: 33%
Rune: 45%
Sigil of Malice: 5% (cheaper than the 10% and 5% is enough to cap)
Givers: 20%

And why are you so sure that Torment will get a 20% Sigil? There are enough Conditions that have none either:
- Blind
- Confusion
- Fear
- Immobilize
- Slow (recently introduced into the game)
So just because Torment is a Condition, does not mean it gets a 20% Sigil, unless you have an A-Net Quote exactly stating that it will happen.
You dont balance around wvw, espesially wvw food brah. The trait is fine +you dont take into account people running with -duration. You wont cap them.
Ps traveler runes are king for condi due to extra boon duration for resistance.
Pizza = 40%
Empo = 33%
Sigil of malice = 10%
Traveler runes = 10%
93%. If you use torment runes then
Tor runes = 45% for a total of 128%
And now if someone has -condi duration, and they will cus condi builds are op in roaming (just look at this braindead pu condi monkey), your torment duration will be reduced to 92/88%, so you dont really cap anything.
