Don’t you think it would be nice if we could see everytime we get +(x) ini? Don’t get me wrong thought I don’t mean we see it every time the normal initiative cool down regens, more like an external effect, like when we have infiltrator’s signet on or when a trait takes effect, I usually know when I’m using certain move to trigger a trait effect but as I foucs on a fight I usually forget about this XD

There might be an effect which warns you about this but dunno if so pls lemme know how it looks

I think the graphics of initiative bar have to change a bit.

When ini is full the dots must be bigger and visible, when ini is empty the dots must be in transparency.

As long as it can be toggled, it should be there. Was surprised the combat interface was so bare.

It would be awesome if Anet replaced “Last Refuge” minor trait in Shadow Arts with something like that.
Like +1 Initiative when attacking from Stealth.
^ At least that minor trait wouldn’t get me killed more than it saves me

The OP wasn’t making a suggestion for a new initiative regen ability, they were saying the UI should be revamped to make initiative gain more obvious.

Yea I was refering more to an UI related thing XD, but I do sometimes wonder why we don’t have a trait like “10% chance to regain +1 ini on critial hit” right now most of thieves in WvW put their traits related to invisible effect or steal

This is actually a pretty good idea! Something like last diamond icon could be bigger when our bar is full, I do sometimes, when I’m sorrunded by the enemy, I stupidly try to use an ini based skill which may cost me dying and it takes me like 2 tries to realize that I’m out of ini and I keep insisting thinking I would have enough ini on my 2nd try…

Oh my bad I just realize that haha “Critical hits have a 20% chance to restore one initiative (1-second cooldown).” thanks :P
