edit: oZii, a well known Elementalist just made a guide with that food, and I don’t think he would add it if it was bugged.

Unless it’d been bug since the April patch they fixed the old bug a while ago.

I used this food a few times since the patch but since I didn’t actively record damage I can’t really say if it works or not.
Anyway, I didn’t notice a huge difference in damage. It certainly isn’t a game changer.
I stocked up on these a long time ago. Have like 5k or something…
I think they fixed it in one of the recent patches. Remember seeing someone say they had tested it, but I haven’t tested it for my self yet.
I have tried it, and it works very well paired with executioner. Havent tried eagles yet, but thats another damage bonus
I ran with this food for months, back when it was 2-4s.. it suddenly exploded up to 40s though =.=
It definitely helps, I compared it to Butternut (prior patch) and was landing 8.6k backstabs instead of 8K (on moa’s WH lol).
It depends on the power you run with but it’s better than any other power/ferocity food, there is a reason it went 40s.
There are guilds roaming with this now.
Let’s say you pair it with Runes of the eagle, which gives you +6% permanent damage, and executioner, you deal +20% damage while the enemy is under 50% health.
That’s a 36% constant increase in damage.
Just so you know, Damge modifiers don’t work like that. You would get about 27% once they reach <50% HP.

What, both wrong. Damage modifiers stack multiplicatively.
10% from food (1.1)
6% from rune (1.06)
20% from trait (1.2)
1.1*1.06*1.2 = 1.3992
+39.92%

I went and did the quest chain… bought a few and tested them out. The damage increase was noticeable but seems to apply mainly to auto attacks which you can do while moving. All of our other hard hitting skills (back stab, Heart seeker, etc) brings the thief to a halt just before the attack starts.
It’s also important to note that the Experimental Remnant is not usable in WvW.
