Q:
100% crit chance?
80~90% with Fury is possible and easy on full zerkers.
Only way to get higher than that is prolly on full assassins.
Ironically, it’s pretty easy to get 100% crit% on upleveled characteres.
thanks
can use executioner instead of hiddenkiller if I have 100% crit chance
Yes, however even with this I believe you still get non-crits from time to time.
Method A: Hidden Killer
Gain bonus critical-hit chance while in stealth.
Critical Chance increase: 100%

Method B: Beserker Gear + Party Buffs (Banner of Discipline, Spotter, etc)
and refuses to spare the life in return for the surrender at discretion (unconditional surrender)
of a vanquished opponent.
this is the highest I was able to get it without stacks

Depend on what you want. But most likely it not a good move. People already did the math to find the good ratio between Power and Precision to get the best damage. You need a high amount of power and critical damage before you are better off with Precision over Power. With the incoming nerf to crit damage, this ratio will be a little more toward power and less toward precision, making Assassin gear probable never worth it except in some specific situation or build. The best for you would be to wait a couple weeks after the 15th April and then ask you question again, when people would have done the new math.
Full Berserker, Keen Observer, Side Strike, Signet of Agility, Discipline, Spotter and Fury puts you at 102%. You don’t need Assassin or Precise Infusions or Accuracy Sigils.

Is there a link for the calculations?
I read it somewhere that apart from balancing off power-crit-precision, one also has to factor in the cooldowns of proc effect from runes and etc.. I understand that there is little use of very high crit-rate if those procs cannot catch up.

Berserker’s will scale better for your overall DPS than Assassin’s will. This is because power impacts dps more than precision.

Well, 100% crit chance is something I have achieved. Full ascended zerker trinkets w/ assassins armor/ weapons and Sigel of accuracy. Boosts you dps by a ton. A TON! With about 100% crit damage your dps is more influenced by frit damage than power at that point. I use it in pve with Sigel of fire for UNBELIEVABLE dos with the short bow’s AoE.
Even at 0% bonus crit damage, precision beats power and crit damage if it comes to raw damage over a longer period of time. The reason why people do not realise that escapes me.
The only argument for power over precision is that you can create extreme spikes of damage if you get a lucky crit streak, this has led to the current playstyle of “jump in get lucky and win and if you do not get lucky try to reset until you get lucky”.
Against people who know what they are doing that kind of playstyle will fail more often than it will work.

Maximizing your damage is not the only aspect (atleast if it comes to wvw), you need to find a spot where you are comfortable with your survivability vs damage, it is very important to figure out for yourself where that spot is.
One very important aspect is that if you do not have full ascended gear you should not concern yourself with maxing damage stats for wvw, since you will face players with ascended gear who will have more stat budget than you, you will not beat them with raw damage, if you are on the “exotic level” of things (even partially) focus on being able to take a beating and movement this will buy you the time to outplay your opponents this is what you have to do anyway since you will be at a raw stat disadvantage.

Re-check your math.

There it is, but keep in mind that those numbers will be useless in 5 days because of the path. So don’t use them to create a build for you, you gonna waste your gold. Actually, these number will probably be exactly the same, you just gonna have a lower % of crit damage that all. But i prefer to way and see everything they gonna change. Anyway, after the 15th, power will be more important that its already is over precision.

True, except you know if you do the math. Oh kitten right that nasty reality, always interfering with what I like. Are you from Fox News? Saying that power is always better than precision is as stupid as saying that precision is better than power. You can reach a balance.
