2/6/0/0/6 D/D possible?
No. I don’t think this is really viable. It’s better if you do 6/6/2/0/0 with runes of pack or something like that if you wanna go full zerk.

Either is fine, it depends on your experience. But i would go d/p and p/d for wvw roaming and since you are still learning this class. Besides d/p is similar to d/d.
Good luck!!!
26006 works for DP because of the constant blind mechanic, thus helping keep them alive. DD has two nearly useless skills which don’t contribute to its ability to survive, thereby needing SA for blinds and regeneration.

26006 is alot of fun but risky… I feel that it works well in both DD and DP. DP does have a better options but if you going to play DD with this then you need to be very good at timing and map awareness. I would pick mug. Since u need some heal. And this build goes well with withdraw heal. Rememeber that you dont have condi remove. Know when to burst and or bail will make you successful. All in all. It is a good build if you are bored of SA6 and wants more challenge. Good luck.
I ran a 0/6/2/0/6 DD build for a week not too long ago, and it was quite fun. I took the 2 points in SA for condi removal, but If definitely found myself missing the blind on stealth trait too. The experience was fun and challenging though. The increased initiative pool makes missing a CnD less punishing, and it also allows you to use CnD to go in and out of stealth more often to confuse enemies, i.e. not breaking stealth with backstab, but letting your stealth run out and using CnD again immediately after.
Being able to steal boons as a DD was probably the best part of the build. Ripping stability and protection off of guardians and eles made fighting them as a DD thief a bit easier at times. I think the biggest advantage is just the surprise you give to your enemies when they realize you’re a DD thief stripping boons and dazing on steal. All in all though, it’s much squishier than a standard DD build, so for WvW roaming it’s real hit or miss. It does force you to focus even more on your positioning and awareness though, so if you feel like brushing up on those skills, I don’t see why you shouldn’t test a build like that. At worst, you had some fun changing things up for a bit. At best, you find a skill you enjoy more than you thought you would and get creative with it for a while.
Maguuma
2/6/0/0/6 D/D is alright if you have some team mates with you that can heal + condi clear (Ull only have withdraw and shadowstep for condi clear, and basi if u run lyssa). You probably won’t be able to 1vX or 1v1 very well with that spec though. 6/6/2 is also a pretty fun zerker spec if you’re looking. Nothing really beats 2/6/6 for d/d though, I find 2/6/6 even more effective than 2/0/6/0/6.

My thoughts exactly. +1
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
the 2,6,0,0,6 made for cnd bs and hs spamming for great dmg above the d/p which has no cnd
but you can do 1vx with it as its hard for you to stealth and get the benefit of it
with team is great as you can burst and stealth to your next target
in wvw in raid i use it to down ppl fast 1 by 1 and look for the enemies below 50% hp
+1 with messiah. I enjoy this type of build now a day. Sure its risky and you may loose to heavy condi class now and then. IMO, it works well in small group or if you get used to this build… use it in zerg fights… you do merd need to have good map awareness and pick your target. I havent switch to other for a while now. the 266 or 0662 is also good. All depends on your style. Try them all
