In anticipation of the new thief heal skill and using a condition build , I experimented some more with Runes of Grenth. I added to the build off hand daggers of hydromancy in each hand.

With condition duration food and traits my condition duration was at 100 percent for Chilled meaning some 6 seconds in total. Now generally I use the Withdraw as my heal skill but with Grenth this a little hard to set up the trigger effect of the 6th skill so took hide in shadows I used this either while in battle or would cast the HIS and use a steal immediately thereafter (infiltrators would work as well I I suspect) which would then trigger that chill on your enemy.

Since Chill stacks in duration I could then swap to another weapon and stack over 12 seconds of chill on my target. You can then use uncatchable and dodge away and the target stuck in that caltrops field.

If one then added the venom Ice drake in a venom build you get another three strikes of Chilled and can apply at 2.5 seconds each.

I am really liking the synergy of this as this another condition that acts as covers for the others, it can increase the effectiveness of your bleeds from uncatchable and allows more hits with your regular attacks as the target slower moving. It increases target cool down on all skills and as an AOE very handy if your weapon swap just as an ambushing thief goes into hiding or uses refuge.

A question then arises. If using the Venom heal and using Grenth on a venom share build would all those one shares with get that chill effect? I am going use the build more in WvW and see how it works out.
