The thief community has seen very little interaction with Arenanet staff. Interaction so far has been purely required business. No leisure posts. No connections what so ever. If the post needs to be placed in the thief forums, then just post it and leave it.

Anyone who has been here long enough has known that there has only been one maybe two instances where a developer was playing a thief. Alot of us have reached the point where there seems to be no genuine attention thrown at the profession. And this feeling claws at us more and more the longer we hold onto this profession.

It is understandable why this is so simply by reviewing the past. The playstyle that permeates the thief profession kittenes players off by its very nature. Barely predictable movements requiring a whole new stratagem to counter. A community that is quick to shut out anyone at the slightest amount of complaining. It is hard to want to deal with a community that reflects the large amounts of toxicity that has been dumped into it in the past few years and, again, that is understandable.

But this toxicity didn’t originate from the thief community. And you have the opportunity to fully understand why.

So this is the challenge I issue to you:

Join [Teef]. Give the guild the opportunity to show the side of the thief community you’ll never see. The leader is as lax as his guild and one of the most knowledgeable thieves you’ll find. Granted, you might have designed and balanced the thief over and over but there are a large number of experienced thieves in [Teef] who can tell you things about thief you would have never found through testing and balancing. I can assure you of that.
