Hello guys, I am thinking to level my thief to 80 and do a lot of PvE with him. I am thinking to start with dungeons, and then maybe proceeding to fractals. However, the class is just too new for me and I am not able to build for myself. Can anyone show me a good build, or link some guide so I can learn better? Thanks in advance.

6/6/0/0/2 for max DPS, 5/6/0/0/3 for 3 extra initiative at the cost of a little bit of DPS. These two builds are the meta builds (as far as I remember). You could also try 5/6/0/3/0 if you need more dodges available to you.

Traits taken:
Deadly Arts:
VI (Sundering Strikes, critical hits have a 50% chance of applying a stack of vulnerability, no ICD)
VII (Improvisation, bundles and conjured weapons do 10% more damage and stealing recharges a random type of utility) or IX (Dagger Training, 5% more damage for dagger skills)
XIII (Revealed Training, +200 Power while revealed, taken only if you go 6 into this line)

Critical Strikes:
III (Side Strike, 7% more critical chance when attacking a target from the sides or behind them)
VI (Practiced Tolerance, 7% of your Precision is added to Vitality) or VIII (Signet Use, activating a signet regenerates 1 initiative and all signets have 20% less recharge time)
XI (Executioner, targets below half health take 20% more damage from you)

(5/6/0/3/0) Acrobatics:
III (Vigorous Recovery, gain Vigor when you use your heal, base duration 5 seconds)

(6/6/0/0/2 and 5/6/0/0/3) Trickery:
IV (Flanking Strikes, 5% more damage to enemies you attack from their sides or behind) or V (Thrill of the Crime, stealing grants 10 seconds of Fury, Swiftness and 1 Might to you and nearby allies)

You can swap traits around as the situation changes. Have fun with your Thief! :)

A remnant of times past.

Thank you for explaining so throughoutly. I think I like the 5/6/0/0/3 the best as expanding the resource will help me manage.
