I am extremely disappointed with Anet. We get this lame spec instead of what we’ve wanted all along.

I would actually quite like to see the Commando become a thing—that is to say, as a future Elite Specialization.
A Rifle for the Thief that functions as a ranged burst damage weapon and skills that focus on debilitation and so forth.
And an Elite that actually calls in a Pact-style chopper to drop explosives.

We have all the elements to make a Commando that fits in Tyria, to be honest. I would be glad to see it.

I was mostly joking, I don’t even play thief. It was just when I heard rumors of rifle thief, I immediately thought of the commando April fools, and thought it would be funny and cool if anet made it a real thing

but….reason i against engi being it…
is engi already has rifle…..and they kitten it up by making it a hip fire shotgun.

and not a rifle.

A rifle can be fired from the hip too. Though it’s not optimal for either. I mean was the last time you saw SWAT fire a shotgun from the hip?

but the fact is, what kind of commando fires a rifle at long range from the hip =/

if they let me use the warrior rifle 1 skill animation for engi 1 skill animation, it would make it more appealing

i’m ok with from the hip for the shotgun blast

but for the normal shot…its just bleh

There go my dreams of becoming a ninja princess. Rifle mainhand shooting cosmic rays would have been so fun.
