A quick and easy, but NEEDED, change.
Don’t worry. After HoT drops you’ll get a 2+ second heal that wont ever see play either.
I actually know quite a lot of players using Hide in Shadows in both, pve and pvp.
Especially in pve withdraw is not good in many situations, as you leave the point of stacking. Running pve u usually even use the sigil.
In pvp its more commen to use withdraw, but a lot of players prefer the hide one while using sword. I dont think we need a new heal skill, its fine.

Hide is Shadows is still pretty usable, but I do agree that, along with Withdraw, the healing mechanism is very predictable. The other skills are borderline useless and underpowered.

SOM is not a bad heal but specific to very certain builds. It can use a slight tuning upwards in some manner. Ie when activated regain 10 INI or tweak the incoming on heal higher. It worked much better with the on dodge traits in a DD build during beta.
HIS is ok if you trait the deception cooldown skill but most can not afford to do that due to the lack of condition cleanse. This makes the longer cooldown coupled with that longer cast time clear disadvantages.
Withdraw all round is just so much better and given we now have “on evade effects” so much more so. It also easier to make a build that takes advantage of trickster trait which gives a lower cooldown and more condition removal. In the DD builds you can get this to clear 5 conditions.
Skelk is skelk.
