Readers,

This is a game, its not the military. I say this in reference to some range changes that in my mind were game breaking, we can debate it for hours on end. We have just had our hands tied in 60% of WVW and 75% in dungeons. Yes thieves will change and find otherways to be awesome, however, this by no means excuses whay Arena net did to the shortbow ranges (both thief and ranger).

And the age old, well, your ground game just got better. 60% & 75%ยก

Arena net has their big boy pants and can justify for themselves how they are going to make thieves purpose and functionability for the dungeon and WVW handicaps. Maybe they are going to up scale our hitpoints in the future and seriously dumb down dungeon encounters (which will become an even bigger louder crowd).

I feel, and I dont speak for anybody but myself, that Arena net in the very least owes us answers, not even promises, for the range change. Even if the answer is, because “its our game, well do what we like, if you dont like it, take a hike”.

I have invested well over $2000. to support this title in gems, even before it out, I went to play guild wars one to be informed and even bought their items from the store there. So although I dont feel obligated for an answer, I do feel that on their behalf, it would be a good gesture.

I am not asking about stealth, damage, etc.

I am asking about diversity, and why does it seem to be vanishing completely.

Might as well convert to the holy trinity already, since we are half way on the way there.

Sorry if you feel this is redundant or melodramatic, its just a plea to a title I love to show a little respect and dignity with some sort of sensability.

We are getting nerfs, but keep in mind that this is how Anet likes to do balance in order to buff other skills.

Example
They nerfed Mug so it can’t critically hit
later
They gave us the ability to use steal for something besides just burst damage and now it’s considerably more interesting.

Hoping for the best
Answers would be nice

A victor gives no quarter when the victor shows no clemency or mercy
and refuses to spare the life in return for the surrender at discretion (unconditional surrender)
of a vanquished opponent.

the range nerf was for shortbows themselves, not just ours…so i think its less to do with thieves, and more to do with its comparison to longbows.

that said, still sucks, and forces thieves more towards the already loathed high damage builds.

Fine, all shortbow abilities were to reduced to 900 range and buffed +14% damage to compensate… Where is our +14%?
