I’m just about to hit level 80 on my thief and have been running a condition damage via venom build for leveling in PvE. I use the double daggers and have been successful so far, I think. But I know as soon as I hit 80 I’m going to be running dungeons and PvP. I’ve been digging through posts and even off-site discussions over which build is the best and what weapons. All it’s done is frustrate me. This is my first real go at a “thief” in any MMO and I enjoy it, but I don’t know where to go from here.

I’ve read good things about the “glass cannon” builds with the sword pistol but I’m skeptical. I’m so used to the D/D and the mobility and speed at which it kills but is it practical for dungeons?

Any advice, input, whatever would be helpful because of now my thief is a clean slate as far as skills and armor goes until I figure out which build to play.

there is no “best” build, sword/pistol works great as a brawler or as a glass cannon. dagger/dagger can be used for durable damage dealer or full glass cannon crit builds, as well as the durable condition builds along side pistol/dagger.

D/D when combined with condition is very very bad. Conditions builds need a bleed mechanic to do anything good.

Hopefully he means he’s using Death Blossom a lot and not just standard D/D skills with a bunch of condition damage for stats.
