So, after reaching 80 on my main, I was wondering where should I go to buy\find armor?
I saw the Armageddon set, and I was thinking if it was worth it?

It really depends on what stats ou want. The Armageddon set is easy to get but you can only get soldiers, rabid, or magi stats, which are not too great of thieves IMO. If you have leather worker 400 and the right mats/money then crafting a set is a good way to get what you want.
