I am not going to drop this until it gets addressed in some way. IMO, this is the biggest issue facing several (mostly ranged) weapons across several professions. The aftercasts on both Vital Shot and Trick Shot are tuned so that they fire too slowly for their damage, which makes both weapons very sub-optimal in generalized usage. Note that this is a problem for many professions, but a particularly egregious one for Thieves because of the Initiative system.
Why change Body Shot when the problem was Unload having to pull Vital Shot’s weight and siphoning all of your Initiative so that your other skills weren’t usable? Several ranged weapons across several professions have wonky firing rates for their damage specs and since sustained DPS largely revolves around your autoattack, it makes them too situational to really go with most of the time.
