erm no, the power creep is real and a bit OTT. back stabing another thief for 12k and 8k heart seeker, where as before i would get 8k back stab at the most. having a mesmer hit me for 5k powerblock was a bit of a shock too.
gw1 – healing signet/frenzy/charge
sp could always do that just spam evade
Mesmer is unfun to play against and does everything better than thieves.
Hoping those two get gutted with nerfs
To put it flatly our damage got boosted nicely xD
think about it, we lost 10% dmg on +6 initiative, +5% dmg on flanking and +5% on dagger for example:
We got: easier access to executioner and revealed training +7% crit dmg over 90% health + around 200 ferocity (a bit more actually) from practiced tolerance and 250 ferocity of no quarter… and we got lead attacks 1% dmg per ini…
Direct comparison, first value is before patch, second after:
Power: 2698 → 2766
Precision: 2151 → 2141
Crit Chance: 69.33% → 65.33%
Ferocity: 1145 → 1257
Crit DMG: 226.33% → 233.80%
Under the effect of fury crit DMG goes up to 250.46%
Values are with assassins and agility signet, before patch 66002 and now SA/CS/Trickery
Well, sounds like we have our burst or die builds back. Time to go signets.

First time in weeks guildies saw me laughting when I got caught and bursted by 10k warr rush or whirl. It’s not just us with boosted dmg and I quite like it that the fights in wvw are less of “lets run to tower, they won’t kill us by the time we get there”. It’s burst or die.
I love my thief again.
We have to wait until wep spec, gameplay will only change then

That was before patch, with 26006 scholar build, food and guards/bloodlust stacks. No might no vulnerability.
Now CS line gives us a lot more of damage. Before patch, 2/6/0/0/6 gave us +45% dmg (with 10^6, +10% while moving, 10^90% and +1% per init), now glass build gives us like… I don’t have the numbers I closed the game but it’s insane. I can get up to 270% (or maybe 280% I don’t remember) ferocity while I had 235% before, it sounds like a decend damage buff to me. The big difference is that you need to crit or you won’t hit hard, unlike pre-patch when it was damage modifier.
But sadly, you can’t really run full glasscannon now. Everyone is dealing insane damage, IMO it’s better to go for Acrobatics over CS (SA if facing heavy condition). You can go DA CS T but in most situations it’s a real suicide.

Thief always dropped rangers now mesmers do the same to thieves
Warriors dont have a chance against a thief but a guard will thanks to aegis, blinds,boons
The meta has changed and it will take some use to playing the builds and professions again as we will be going up against more unconventional builds finally
The nerfs/adjustments will be incoming… they made a official threat about it already.
Though I really love my CS thief… it feels assassin like, crit dmg ftw
Well, I tried 11001 out tonight. 10k backstab in pvp. Meanwhile (except maybe for S/X builds) acro feels a little underpowered. I guess the best defense is a good offense now.

yeah i think so too… everything is so chaotic after the patch i dont even know what to think of it
