i would like to see more Dual Pistol build so this trait based around that idea. Grand master trait for Deadly arts raising Unload hits by 4 keeping same cast animation time so unload would feel like it has a bit more of a punch to it.

And bounce. And cause AOE explosion around targets hit.
Jokes aside, 1,200 range would actually be very handy, since shortbow is also 1,100-200 range.

i just feel like dual pistol lack a punch to the build need a bit more burst flexibly. when you com-pair it to any other thief play style just does not have a nice flow with it. maybe 1200 range would help make it more viable but i think in the end it just dual pistol does not have enough damage output to make it worth playing.

maybe we could look at this from a different view. we could have skill combo with unload. call it rapid unload. you could have x remaining shot cost 1/2 initiative each remaining shot raising attack speed by 50%.

so the formula work such as 4 shot fired 4 remaining trigger rapid unload costing extra 2 initiative. (if your meter drop to 0 stop rapid unload effect)

it would raise dual pistol burst with out changing anything really. using more initiative faster attack i do not think would be op thief can only regen initiative so fast.

just more thoughts on the subject

What if unload didn’t have a fixed initiative cost, and instead was a channel you hold down, eating one INI every two shots and gaining damage the longer you hold it down?

P/P has nothing to do with 30 points into Deadly Arts.
As long as people keep building around p/p as if it was their regular d/d – d/p burst 2222222222222 they will fail at running it properly.

P/P’s issue isn’t traits.
It’s that it doesn’t play anything like the thief design outside of “single-target burst” of unload, which hits essentially the same as Illusionary unload with the little que that you can use it 3-4 times in a row disregarding opportunity cost.
Whatever tho, just keep buffing unload until 3-1 play works perfectly.

i agree with this
this is a great idea
it IS called “UNLOAD”
why are we “unloading” less than half of our iniative (bullets?) with it?
that’s just “repeating shot” that’s on skill 3 with offhand-light the way it is now

plus with such a long duration as it is now it’s very susceptible to failing,given the fact we have to be on the move so much,even if we turn around,poof goes that iniative
i mean,we’re the agile class,right?
why can it be so easy to waste our entire class-mechanic resource like that when it’s used for other things such as mobility (or it SHOULD if we had something other than SB5)

having it channel and drain/s would make for so many better and more well-thought-out plays
