Guild Wars 2

Are there any basic thief guides here that simply layout weapons, traits, utilities and fun tips and tricks? I’d like to roll a thief but It seems pretty overwhelming.

Why would you wanna play a thief?! o.O’

anyway… there is a sticky with the most common builds for pvp and pve.

I saw that, but I’m not looking for builds, I’m just looking for a guide for someone starting at page one. One that lays down the specifics of each weapon with commonly used tricks (like leaping through smoke fields). A section addressing utility and elite skills. And a section addressing each trait line and potential synergies.
Similar to the ones in the Mesmer, Elementalist, Engineer, guardian, Warrior and Ranger forums.

Don’t play thief it is underwhelming.

Guide:
- Roll a warrior instead.

Thieves are fine. Great roaming class. There are stickies or search guides.
