I created a Necro guild not too long ago for teaching Necromancers that actually became quite effective ingame, I have helped/aided over 90+ new Necros. What I need, is for good Thieves (Or bad ones willing to learn) to step up, and join the guild (there is no need to represent) to teach/aid new players upon request. If you wish to give your expertise back to the community, to help players learn a class and get better at PvP/PvE/WvW, please use this application and either

I loved the idea but I don’t feel safe to say I have enough knowledge to share with my fellow thief friends, so I decided to apply as a student.

This is a superb idea, I want to join to learn, but the mere idea of having the guild tag next to my name would eventually be a sign of prestige of sorts, I would think. As if people reading your name and the tag would trust that this is a good thief or at least one that is in the proper process of learning if the movement get famous enough)

• How many builds have you theory crafted: I played: 4 different kinds of D/D, 4 different variations of D/P, 2 types of S/D, 2 types of P/D, S/P, P/P, 3 kinds of Venomshare builds. This includes SPVP builds and both direct and condition damage based builds. Currently running a D/P balanced build in WvWvW and a D/P offensive but not GC build in SPVP.

I’d love to really get to know this class inside and out!

I’m worried that this will become something of an “exclusive” that creates elitist attitude more than a genuine school for those who wish to learn. I’m the former class lead of Team Legacy and part of me would love to do this, but the rest of me says that it’ll only make me look like an ego-driven kitten. Sorry TheMighty, but I think I’ll have to pass on this one.

How many builds have you theory crafted: Have no idea how many, but it’s quite a few. I don’t theory craft as in putting numbers together, I know what I’m after and then I build around that. I try out all my builds and find something that I’m comfortable with. So far it have worked out pretty good for me.
Would you consider yourself a good contributor to your community: Yes. I alway try to have a good discussion and try to contribute where I can. I’m often in the forums helping players with builds and tips, sometimes even in other profession forums to teach them how to fight a thief.
Are you friendly/helpful: I always try to be at my best.

Mighty: I just realized that since there are people like Geiir applying, and, of course, I still have interest in the guild myself (never got an invi though :c), and that, furthermore, Team Akatsuki is an all-thief team that both Geiir and I are on, I figured that we could basically make Akatsuki members teachers for this guild. That way, we’re pairing students with an established team that knows practically everything thief, and, furthermore, we have a clearer post-“academic” route for applicants to go through, if they wish.

How many builds have you theory crafted: I created four “originals” builds, meaning without basing them on builds already existing,and tried at least twenty different ones, I’ve mastered, d/p and s/p, I’m good with s/d and d/d and in general venomshare builds but i lack in condition damage builds like p/d and p/p.
In general I think I could be one of the few the uses thief in PvE dungeons so that could be interesting

I signed up above, but I’m in Yak’s Bend server and I don’t know if that’s where it’s at or what (is it somehow cross-server? Can that happen in this game? be a part of a guild in a diff server??)

I’m currently on a EU server. Planning to change where my team is going, but it won’t be any problem guesting or just transferring to teach people that needs it. Another idea could be to use teamspeak or Skype to help players abroad

I have skype, but I don’t have a TS server. So generally I just join public channels whenever I’m helping someone abroad.

I know there are a ton of teachers, but diversity in teachers across differing builds is good, I think. :)
