Apparently stealth clears Mesmer illusions
Uh? Stealth change in the patch notes?
I hope it’s intended because you mesmers are way too op. Look at classes like rangers, they need to be buffed.
Its not intended, just a bug
Or a bug fix? If they were supposed to change target or get destroyed when there is none.
“An illusion is a type of creature summoned by a mesmer that serves to draw aggro and fight alongside the caster. They attack only one foe — generally the one targeted by the mesmer when created — until one or the other is destroyed. If the target runs away, the illusion will lock on the next nearest target.”
If loosing target due to stealth is treated like ‘target running away’ then I could imagine this actually was a kind of (bug) fix.

They did say good things were coming for thieves
(I don’t think this is it , but I’ll take it if it’s intended. )
and refuses to spare the life in return for the surrender at discretion (unconditional surrender)
of a vanquished opponent.
I dont know, I think PU mesmers dont have a hard time against thieves in general in the first place
PU, yes. Any other mesmer build usually loses vs a decent thief.
/edit: I haven’t tested it since i’m playing S/P thief right now (sad how hard Shatter has been nerfed in comparison…) but actually this could be a buff to PU condi builds if it also triggers their on-death traits.

OP makes it sounds like it’s difficult for Mesmers to create illusions.
If this is true, then finally the bug is fixed. Illusions sometimes follows us in Stealth or continued to be targeted by them while in Stealth.
Mesmer thinks that this is a Thief only buff, but Mesmer-vs-Mesmer is no fun when illusions can tell which is the real one or where the Stealthed Mesmer is.
Full set of 5 unique skills for both dual-wield weapon sets: P/P and D/D – Make it happen
PvE – DD/CS/AC – If that didn’t work, roll a Reaper or Revenant.
This needs to be fixed.

Could this mean that channeled abilities like the Ranger Barrage that would typically hit us contentiously even while in stealth are fixed too?
If you stealthed while I’m channeling Rapid Fire, you better kitten well take it.
