Ascendend Armor for D/P Roaming
i run pretty much same build as i run in pvp, caed’s d/p trickery except with 2 in SA
zerker gear, zerker weps… can throw some valk in it but food/wvw stacks usually cover surival stats anyway… that is ofc if you are decent on thief since build is pretty glassy

Can you give me the link to it pls? What about Valkyrie? Ist there less damage than with Zerker? I actually play with 5 6 3 0 0 in PvE to practice some mechanics and it’s easy to survive by evading. Only conditions are bad…
2/6/6/0/0 CS XII – Hidden Killer, you can go full Valkyrie Armor with Pack runes and Zerker trinkets, but using 2/6/0/0/6 you might want to have a decent balance of Vitality and everything else- I trait for Executioner instead though, so I have run some gear with at least a 50% crit chance.

If you’re new to thief DO NOT play 26006 in WvW. Your going to get destroyed and get frustrated and think that the ascended armor you made is a waste (trust me, back in the day I deleted 4 level 80 thieves and rerolled ele several times due to frustration). Play a 26600 build. Search up “Yishis” on Youtube and look at his most recent video. Take the DD build he uses, it works for both DD and DP. Choose your ascended armor based off of that. When you get better at thief play whatever build you want man.

ALWAYS make zerker ascended. EVERY class has a zerker build so if you don’t like your thief you can toss it on a zerker ranger or something.
NEVER make assassin armor. Every class has builds that have access to a high precision through trait or skills.
Guardians have righthanded strength
Warriors..lol..perma fury/+% crit chance traits/raw precision
Rangers have spotter and opening strike
Thieves have 100% stealth attacks and multiple +% crit chance traits
Ele have some fury/100% utility skill
Necro have death shroud fury and +50% crit chance traits
Engi I don’t know
Mesmer is precision poor but can trait phantoms for fury
Several classes have precision signets too
Everyone has access to +7% sigil
Norns have access to 100% crit chance snow leopard ;-)

I made my ascendend zerker armor yesterday. For WvW I play 0/6/6/2/0 with D/P like this:

A bit of vitality won’t hurt, especially against Conditions – this also still has enough burst, DPS and sustain thanks to SA and Full CS.
As mentioned you can move on to Trickery, which takes a bit more patience, rather than the more entry level SA builds.

Once you get better at playing it and learning nuances I would drop the sa line down to 2 or 0 and fill in on trickery or deadly arts. Could also drop cs line to 0 and up trickery. Basically once you get decent with dp you can afford more offense in your traits. 06620 is an awesome wvw build for roaming, lockdown and slower ttk are it’s only downfalls.
Are there any basics I could learn to get better in roaming as D/P ? That’s my current gameplay
You are running Fleet Shadow, so you don’t need Signet of Shadows.
