Has anyone else been playing with this Adept trait? Pre-patch it was 10s of Swiftness with a 5second ICD; now it gives 20 seconds, and that seems to have made a big difference in its utility.

I’ve been using it on a 30 Acrobatics build; it’s very useful for cruising around in WvW. Even without boon duration from other sources, that’s 26s of Swiftness on kill, and the stacks keep accruing if you maintain it. It’s not uncommon for me to have 2-3 minutes of Swiftness stacked, just from whacking random mobs and moving between camps, especially if I am also making use of Expeditious Dodger in the process.

It’s both faster (33% vs 25%) and more efficient than many other travel options, I think. Signet of Shadows eats a valuable utility slot, and Runes of Traveler/Speed cost an upgrade level and/or gives stats you may not be able to use.

Worth looking into if you run full or partial Acro; I’ve combined them with Runes of Lyssa (the on-elite effect benefits from the boon duration as well), and occasionally throw on a Raspberry Cream for the MF/boon duration when I don’t strictly need a combat edge.

I use it when farming. It’s permaswiftness if you’re running around Orr killing stuff and gathering, for example.

In WvW, that changes to either the fall damage trait (if I have a long way to travel) or the runspeed while stealthed trait. Five points in acrobatics yields a nice array of options.

Where do you get your damage from in a 30 acro build… what is your build?

10 DA and 30 CS. S/P, revolves around various on-crit effects. It’s enough to go to war with, generally.

Pretty much all you need is 30points in CS and you can do whatever you want with the remaining points and still do good DPS in a PvP environment.

In HoTM

dont go out of your way to kill mobs or you only end up getting like -90% movement speed…. in a sense :P. the time you save with swiftness is counterbalanced by the time yous pend randomly killing mobs. its good for 1v1 roaming tho!!!!!

Played around with this and found it really easy, especially in areas where you can kill a mob while running past anyway. Great for guild missions, roaming, etc.

Yes this really easy to get 3 minutes swiftness piled up. In WvW as example you just need to kill a few of those wolves or those minotaurs that roam in the pack. As long as the kills are 5 seconds apart you can stack up a lot of swiftness.

Holy crapper! So we practically got perma-Swiftness and I didn’t even notice.

This should definitely be better than my standard Fleet Foot and the best argument yet in favor of 10 points in Acrobatics.
