Assassin's reward rework...
Thieves survivability is based around evading damage as much as it can, and has the tools to do so (less so after Dec 10th for some reason, but they’re still there).
The low, consistent healing of assassins reward, combined with skillfully evading big attacks is noticeable. I used assassin’s reward for a long time before the bunker/war meta stabilized, and while it wasn’t amazing, it was clearly the best choice among Acro traits. I’ll reserve judgement until I’ve actually tested the skill, but I’m hopeful that it will be useful – it’s the only positive survivability change coming in the next patch.
Also note, since no one in their right mind will run Hard to catch or the new garbage Quick recovery, 30 acro specs wont have many options – It’ll be vigorous recovery, pain response and Assassin’s reward for most.
pre-ordered HOT at this point,
save yourself the money and don’t bother.
I really do not mind quick pockets though it a bit underwhelming as a Grandmaster trait. A buffed assassins reward moved to Grandmaster seems on the face of it underwhelming as well. I doubt we will see many 30 acro builds.
This patch just pushes me more towards SA. AR might be good to pick up at the end of Acrobatics if there were condi clear along the way. For good condi clear though, you still need to go into SA, then you’d have to go 30 points into acro to pick up a trait that forces you to burn initiative instead of waiting patiently in stealth for the right time to strike while gaining health. It’s not like they are forcing us to choose between two awesome traits this patch, they are giving me a reason to never go more than 15 into acro.
this trait gives you 69-79 healing per initiative spent which can reach
If you manage to go to 1 init regain (and spend) per second on average, that heals for about 69 per second, right?
Buff? What nonsense is this?

yes, but usually the fight goes on burst attack which cost initiatives and drop in some AA which cost none thus the healing is bit low per seconds
and in SA line in 30 points spend you can while in stealth 329 healing for 4 seconds which is far better healing as with this trait you only get it if you spam your initiative points
with signet of malice which give 130 on each hit it combine well (also with food and sigil which steal health ) you can get with 1 unloud (p/p set) 1500-2200 health regen
but still i think it should be buff as our vigor drop down and i dont want to be pushed to spend 30 points in SA for passive regeneration
I’ll probably still be running Quick Pockets after Dec 10 so it won’t affect me much personally, but Assassin’s Reward normalizes to around 100/s healing, which is quite a lackluster sustain option for a Grandmaster trait. Work a condi removal component into the trait, or just increase the healing further and we might have something worthwhile.
Quick pockets would be so much better if it also reduced weaponswap cooldown to be on par with Warriors’ 15pt minor, but this doesn’t seem to be something they’re considering at the moment.
