So it is just like the meta condi roamer except you have subpar utilities and subpar armor

The healing idea is for the sustain. When I’m roaming around, I almost NEVER get into a 1v1 where some other fool doesn’t show up and cause trouble. Even in duels I run into this problem. As such, I’m often forced to stealth and then reset the fight again.
My hope was with a build like this that I would be able to apply lots of pressure while constantly regenerating my own health.
I currently play something similar using celestial/traveler’s runes with the skills you mentioned. It’s decent enough and has great survivability but just doesn’t put enough pressure on folks.

Play more thief – healing power won’t do kitten for sustain that DIRE does not do better
Healing Power barely effects Thief skills – Healing Signet is absolute trash and unviable against players
The best way to sustain in a fight as a Thief is to avoid/negate damage with deception utilities and overall good fight awareness positioning
Healing Power won’t help you like it helps an Elementalist or Guardian- don’t tank damage and heal you AVOID damage as much as possible as Thief
In SPvP I use a Healing/Condi thief with D/D and lots of evasive utility. It is great for point capture and to a certain extent point defense. If you assault a point with a bunker you’ll simply outsustain them more often than not while outputting a considerable amount of damage and if its a glass the same thing will happen.
The build might be garbage but I like it and I do well with it. However, I would have no clue how to convert it over to any sort of WvW build as it is sort of reliant on forcing your opponent to stand in Caltrops. Despite what people say every stat has its usefulness if you find a clever way to use it.
