I’ll be more likely to run an occasional venom outside Basalisk venom now. Not much more likely, though.

I think they want us all to play venom-share…

Still no stun break…still no condi cleanse.

5 seconds isn’t enough to get me to go venoms. =P

I think because noone use them and this update will change nothing.

Venom cd’s are still too high and as long as they are designed around VA, they have no future.

im 100% sure many people will go for venom builds because they can get 4seconds lower cds

It reduces the CD of the elite trait Basilisk Venom…Which a lot of people use.

Here’s a question for you: would this change make you more likely to just use one venom? Not go full venoms, but just run one or two?

Because the alternatives are meh.

They still think venom’s give massive condi damage, so don’t get your hopes up.

I see a lot of basilisk thieves out there. I’m sure they won’t mind the -5sec but it won’t change much. Just glad I don’t see much of the immobilize venom.

venom builds are slightly more viable, and it fits in with condi meta, i still occasionaly run the torment venom anyway cause strong kitten condi and vulnerability is pretty nice fo some extra damage.

I run devourer venom. It kills a bunch of people who aren’t prepared for 5 seconds of immobilize.

Devourer Venom is superior to Basilisk venom in my opinion. Instantly popping an unpredictable immobilize is really strong.

I’d prefer devourer as an elite.

Thats the problem with devour

It’s not an elite and hard to justify dropping one of your getaway utilities.

Arenanet it’s clearly trolling thieves’ players, in the last 2 updates we got a + 0,5s buff to assassin equilibrium and now this, meanwhile a lot of nerfs killed S/D and bumped down D/P.

Since trickery steal cd is 21 sec cd, and the new basi/devourer is 40, every 2 steals will now have a basi/devourer on demand instead of waiting 3-4 seconds. Not a bad buff

The main problem is the party share venoms don’t stack very well. Still no stun break, or condi clear. That’s why I won’t run them. Would be nice if you could clear a condi for every 2 unique venoms applied…. or something….

For anyone still trying to use Lyssa in high condi scenarios like WvW, the fact that Basilisk is 40 instead of 45 seconds is kind of annoying.

That isn’t new if you had quick venoms traited.

So many ICD’s though, I feel your pain keeping track of them.
