Guild Wars 2

I started leveling a Thief recently and would like to know the best profession to choose.

I am level 8 so far and would like to do WvW in the future.

What two profession are best? I heard Leather and Weapon. I also heard that Jeweler is good too because for 3.2g or so you can get a lot of levels by learning this.

Any idea’s? Thanks!!!!

if you are talking about traitlines then investing some in either Acrobatics or Shadow Arts in needed for anything.

You do not gain any special abilites or stats or skills for being a crafter, there is no best crafting for thief or any class. Only reason to craft is for exp while lvling or that you wanna craft your own gear which take alot more effort than just buying it from tradepost.

edit: dont bother crafting, its kitten and a waste of time, everything you will ever need for your thief is avaible in tradepost for gold. <— my opinion.

Yup. It’s not like WoW. Crafting gives you XP and that’s the biggest draw. You can gather everything, don’t have to train for that.

Technically, you can level all of the crafts with one character. You just have to drop em cuz there’s a 2-at-a-time limit. But you don’t lose progress when you drop one. Thieves will benefit from JC, cooking, LW, weaponsmith, and huntsman. Pick any you like an have a ball.
