Q:
Best Dungeon Build?
A:
Crafted items has the same stats of any equivalent (same level and rarity) item, regardless of where you get it. I’ve crafted my entire level 80 exotic set.
Right now I’m using a build that goes deep in shadow traits, with some acrobats and critical damage also. It works pretty good with an off-hand dagger because whenever you stealth yourself or an ally you get regen and remove conditions, and you can do it pretty much whenever you like. The acrobats are for better survivability and to support your dps (might whenever you dodge, wich stacks nice with the might you get from stealths). It feels pretty rewarding because usually thieves are egocentric fellas while you can support a lot and still inflict noticeable damage.
I’ve started with Knight’s gear (Power, Precision and Toughness) + Beryl trinkets (Power, Vitality and Critical Damage) for a solid defense and decent damage, but once you know what you’re doing in dungeons (wich attacks to dodge, wich mobs to keep distance, etc) you can trade some defensive stats for a higher dps. I would remove Toughness lastly as it scales pretty well with all the regen you get, and you don’t need a huge vitality pool because you can remove a lot of conditions. That said, toughness is more useful when you don’t know what you’re facing, wich isn’t the case of dungeons as they are pretty predictable by now.
Also, don’t forget to use combos. Cluster bomb can turn you into a hell of a healer, crowd controller or pretty much whatever you like, while Unload is awesome to stack any conditions in your foe or support your front-line fellas while you’re away.
Full berserker is the true way. Don’t be a kitten!
didn’t move.
The best dungeon build is the one that interfaces well with your chosen group. In a guild group that means picking a helpful role and leaving enough diversity to cover unanticipated complications.
In a PUG that means doing whatever you need to do to cover the strengths and weaknesses of each group you join, which doesn’t lend itself well to having one static build. Going condition based-in particular, is going to hurt if there’s other bleed-stackers around.
I go full berserker. I have faith in my own ability to either A.) Learn from by mistakes. or B.) Handle whatever is thrown at me.
Full berserker is probaly the best way to go in dungeons as thief exept one of them.Because they are realy not that difficult and you can manage whitout much defences.(that only if you can)The only exeption is the new dungeon Fractal of the Mists.Due to the incresed level of difficulty ,each time you complet a set of fractals , full berserker builds are less and less viable.
I’ve tried full condition build with Rampager’s equipment and relevant jewels for FoTM as well as my usual Beserkers Build. I find the condition fairly…. bad for me? I don’t really see much condition damage being done and am disappointed with only 100hp from say bleeding/poison. It’s especially bad for PvP against condition removalists and guardians…
Anyways, Beserkers deals a crap tonne of damage. I honestly love the damage of crit when mixed with Dagger storm against large mobs. The drawback with this (three-fold more damage than condition?) is that you die two times more. I’ve used beserkers in FOTM from tier 8-11. Rampagers was used from 1-7.
Also, your build may be important; however, its also your play-style which factors in how well you do. It’s probably best kiting for dungeons and not charging in like a burst thief would do in a 1v1. I generally use p/p or shortbow to damage and keep my distance. Then when the aggro is off me, I’ll run in with either d/d or s/p to do a burst damage with shadowstep, then get the hell out!

Not true. Agony (the major fractal scaling difficulty mechanic) scales with HP, meaning you don’t suffer unduly from building as a glass cannon.
That said, I’d run fractals in MF gear, because if you’re going to bother you might as well pull as much loot as you can out of it.
The only defence as a full berserker Thief is the ability to negate any atacks that comes at you through evading. There are things you can’t evade in there.Like Siege Weapons and some boss atacks. On top of that ,the mobs get tougher and their numbers also increase so no.You wont be able to run FotM in MF or Berserker Gear.

Having done FotM up through second tier in both, I respectfully disagree.
Just wait up to higher diff fractals.
Just wait up to higher diff fractals.
As in fractal rank 30 and higher? I’m curious whether you have first-hand experience with third-tier fractals or whether you’re just making baseless assumptions.

You know what , enough talk.I already know your type. You don’t feel good unless you’re arguing about something , thats why you went over my head for that sigil sugestion .You say you can do level 20 + difficulty fractal in glass cannon thief build , I say prove it.Lemme see you do fractals like the Dredge, Charr and Lava , whitout dying.
