Yea offhand sword because we can more shadowsteps more stealth less reveal i also like the idea of a new weapon like a 2 handed katana more than riffle.

We need a 1200 range weaponset.
I’d personally love off-hand Sword as I’m simply a sucker for swords, but it’s yet another melee-(mid?)-range set depending on the kind of skills they’d put in #4 and #5…
Maybe the third Specilization could give the off-hand sword, but for the first Specialization, I really want to see us getting 1200(+) range weapon(s).

The Thief is the direct successor to the GW1 Assassin, and we’ve been needing something new to make Swords shine for a while, since the nerfs.
An Assassin spec was a great and obvious option. Nobody would have been surprised, but it would have been sweet to have.
Instead, they decided that the Rev should be the Better Thief, and gave them our heritage. They’re better than us at doing one of the big things that was meant to be “our thing,” while being heavy armor, more Health, and the ability to do a bunch of other cool things.
At this point, it has to he intentional, right?
ANet can’t possibly have missed all of our very valid complain, right?
Surely they’re not going to ignore us forever!

Why in hell 1200 range weapon ? People need to stop complain about specific class mechanics seriously…. If ranger gets 2500 range weapon then everyone will be crying about it and they will give 2500 range weapons to everyone… Each class has a role to play so far the current state of classes is a huge melting pot. I will see what they do to thief in january balance patch if nothing is done to thief to male it viable again i’ll just move to another game that is coming real soon.
