Best/Most efficient roaming build?
What is nice with Thief Roaming build is that a lot of possibility exist.

The 0/30/30/10/0 trait are pretty standard for a D/D roaming thief. But there is a lot that you can switch around to fit your gameplay. Some people prefer to have as minimum precision as possible since you already have 100% crit chance on your backstab, but i prefer to do damage not only on my backstab. Other people like to have a blinding power and reduce falling damage.

It’s basically the build I saw in Yishis’ videos with some personal tweaks to it. I use eagle runes, but traveler runes are a strong choice due to the movement speed increase (I’m strongly considering just switching to traveler runes). Shadow’s embrace is also good to run to help you against condis (easy to drop fleet shadow if you’re using traveler runes). I also don’t think the gear is optimized, but some combo of berserker’s, valkyrie’s, and soldier’s should work out just fine.

I do see a lot of s/p builds in WvW as well, but I’m not practiced enough with that to give any real advice on it.
I don’t think the ferocity change will be too too bad, but it will take a bit of edge off of some things, like backstab.

This is a very good build that has equal damage to backstabbing without the reliance on 1 strike that can be anticipated.
All of these are good builds. To your condi question feel free to watch the first fight of my video, where I face 2 thieves one using thieves guild and venom share. Overall thief has decent condi clear but when the patch hits my runes are going to suck.
The most versatile is D/P build with 0/30/30/10/0 with Valkyrie Armor, Zerk trinkets, Hidden Killer trait, 50% speed in stealth. Roaming wise it has the potential to escape a zerg, which is one of the few builds in the game capable of pulling such a feat, yet still has the potential to 1v2 due to stealth spam.
Usually all you do is start off with 5 -> 2 -> land the backstab. If successful, autoattack, then use 2 if below 30~health. If backstab is not successful, you’d need to start over. Or switch to shortbow depending on what opponent you’re facing. 4 is good if you can time it properly when you see them trying to heal. 3 is good for chasing.
Traits are pretty much the same as the other 2 builds suggested.
Skills you’re almost always running are Hide in Shadows, Shadow Step, Shadow Refuge, and the movement speed sigil. With either thief guild or dagger storm.
I myself use Lyssa runes, but since that’s getting nerfed, I’m not actually sure what the next go-to runes are, probably Travelers, allowing you to take out the movement sigil for Blinding Powder or Smoke Screen.
