I was just reading about datamined Revenant skills and noticed that blind was able to stack in application/charges. If this is the case then that would certainly make sense when we think about cloaked in shadow being moved to a GM trait, as it may mean that it applies 3 stacks of blind to the target, and would deserve its place as a GM for sure. It will certainly make things interesting if the target will then miss the next 3 attacks, anyway link below to the datamind skills, feel free to discuss this change.

Your assumptions make sense, and if it turns out to be true it will be a very good boost to d/d builds especially. ANet might put a cap or an internal cooldown on it though. Can’t imagine them allowing blinding one target indefinitely.

3 aoe blinds… to balance that out correctly i dont think even the 2s reveal if you dont attack from stealth (that i think may be coming with HoT) would be enough to balance that
not sure though as we obviously didnt play it yet

it would certainly deserve a gm trait though, the dmg of your opponents would be so crippled… (unless its like guards WW or an engi grenade)

There’s no need to re-swap things around — all they need to do is make CiS to have the same value as Shadow’s Rej. As it is now, it’s way too weak.

If CiS applies 5 charges of Blind (which will make the next 5 attacks miss), then we’re talking about a really good GM trait to rival SR.

This is very dangerous to mess with in general.

Since that revenant skill has a duration skill fact, I’m guessing it’s a pulsing blind. I think it’s likely they are just changing tooltips to make all pulsing abilities show how many times condies/boons are applied by it. The game is kind of inconsistent with that at the moment; some show it with the little number next to the condi/boon, some show it with a “Pulses: x” skill fact, some with just duration and/or the number of times the direct damage part of the ability hits.

Interesting, this makes me wonder if we can expect to see Aegis stacking since imo blind and aegis are very similar excluding their types (Boon Vs Condition) .

Let’s make pve even more easy by having Aegis stack, too.

It’s already being made easier regardless of what I need. I mean just look at mesmer changes.

I wondered about this, too. As long as we don’t see the final weapon skills we probably won’t know. However, maybe nothing even changed at all and it is just a way to display how the skill works. Look at Symbol of Faith - or any other Symbol – which show stacking boons.

I wouldn’t get too excited. Might just mean it pulses.

Except that the stacked Blinds are on a Revenant skill and not CiS…

Next time you reply to any topic, make sure your reply actually adds something constructive to the topic that is discussed.
In this case the entire topic is based on the speculating what this potential Blind stacking could mean for Thieves.
