No, no, no… sadness is a weak and pathetic emotion, and not worthy as a source of our power. In stead, our initiative system should be based off of the rage of nubs! We’ll start out weak, but as people rage and quit we’ll grow more and more powerful on the fumes of their anger.
After biding our time sowing anger and hate, we will rise up and reap our dark harvest of rage. Then, powered by our glorious spirits of hatred and bile, we will dominate our enemies and laugh as they all flee before our majesty. Even flaming us on the forums will be in vain, for it will only make us stronger.

cause your forum is clean , and you can actualy have decent discution regarding builds and counters , but no all the trash comes to thief’s forums.

I attend both Necromancer and Thief forum because I play them both.
Since this forum isn’t something like “The Thieves Refuge” but it is actually a place where people discuss about Thieves, than I don’t understand your attitude.
Also, if you are concerned about the trash, you should also be concerned about people making threads like “Nerf bat incoming”, “Backstab is OP but 20k dmg from 1200 range is not?”, “Backstab is fine…”, “Let me explain it to you: The backstab” and so on.
There are people trying to discuss about the thief state, but you guys look more concerned about preserving the status quo instead of actually talk about changes or balancing.
Each time there is a discussion about balancing, there is always a storm of “l2p noob”, “you’re bad” and so on, which is a clear index of the mental maturity of people hanging around here. And here we come with the same, stupid statement, based on the assumpion that everyone who criticizes the thief state is either a noob or a bad player.
So, as you don’t need my joke (which is intentionally stupid and worthless), so other people don’t need that kind of stupid jokes, like the one in the op. Plain and simple.
Pigeon-holing all thieves into one specific build is a very narrow minded approach. There are, in fact, many of us who choose to build in such a way that we do really need to reach a high skill cap to succeed. (i.e. any non stealth-oriented build, any sword build[post pistol whip nerf])
Yet, whenever I win a fight with a difficult build, I’m still subjected to hate spam about OP thief. While there may be some legitimate complaints about certain builds, there are just as many made by people who can’t accept they may just have lost to a superior player.

Not every Thief runs a BS build (BS DOES require some skill to play effectively but that’s beside the point). Furthermore, A lot of us were here playing this class from the beginning long before all the FOTM nonsense started. So yeah we’re a little tired of our forums getting clogged with QQ (justifed or not, it’s not the appropriate place to post complaints). So excuse us if we’ve become a little terse.

Like what if it made the damaging poison (not sure what its called) be a different “poison” which allows it to stack intensity and not duration. or something, I don’t actually know but buffing the tools of a class after giving a damage nerf increases the required skillcap which means that all the theives who are saying “it takes skill to be a theif” can be proven right or wrong when it happens. to be honest I would prefer the skills which aren’t much use because they are underpowered to be buffed so we have a more diverse arsenal I am currently trying out a D/P P/D build build around getting in laying a poison and a few bleed stacks then jumping back out to range to hit them with pistol shots I think it might work but I will need to do some more work on it before I pull it out of my “testing” I still need to decide which skills to use with it to make it work.

You use the word “gimmicky” and like so many others have no idea the meaning behind it, it really makes you look bad, and further perpetuate the doubt you play thief.
Let me give you a hint:
If A-net designed 90% of thief weaponsets and possible builds to be designed around 1-2 abilities, does that mean the player is using a gimmicky build? or the player is using the class as it was designed? Maybe, just maybe if the weapon sets and (some of the talents) were synergized to a role, this shroud of “gimmicky this” and “gimmicky that” would dissipate.

No point… In a few days there will be lot of changes..
As for the pistons and traps, they have been “improved” before and the improvements were minimal keeping the abilities useless, tbh I doubt they ever will usefull in competitive/casual pvp.
Specially traps, The base design of them does not match the profession and the benefits from them to the profession playstyles are none.
Poisons are simply week, easy to remove and are far from giving any meaningful advantage to the thief profession.
I seriously doubt that they will ever be any good specialy the way a-net balances things, nerfing hard and buffing in sprinkles.

When rarely an backstab reach over 6 k damage on 3000 defence, and that is from full glass cannons who take 3-4k damage from auto attacks.

Condition Necro isn’t a counter to Thief.
Trust me, the guys who are playing thief aren’t different from the others playing the rest of profession.
If there is a class they consider overpowered, the complain will start also against that profession.
Do you remember the complaints against Guardian? They were coming from the most part from thieves who failed to kill them, then they realize that to counter them a boon removal or conditions were enough and then complaints stopped.
The situation about Thieves is different, because also ArenaNet stated that something is wrong, but you guys keep saying that people who complain about the profession are troll because they don’t agree with you.
Anyway, most people are not complaining about backstab only.
If you bothered to read the complains, you would know that most of them are related to the Backstab combo, which really deal 16k+ damage in a tiny window of time.

Is exactly what ppls need to see , is exactly why ppls die vs thieves. It explains everything.
So 3 players (same party -probably team speak) harass an group of 10 + ppls, do daggerstorm same time without any kill.
2 ninja , probably lvl 20 , cause they had underlvl arrow, decide they can beat an team of 3 thieves and break the zerg . They go by turn vs 3 thieves and die.
some ppls try to help them but they still fight 1 / 2 ppls vs 3 thieves.
that’s untill 2.45. 2- 45 – 3.20 they outnumber the enemy’s as you can see the arrows flyes from sides . but the dagger storm got own efficiency. 3.20 -4.35 they made 3 kills out of 10 , his party member die and he finish 1 low lvl who chase him again.
4.35 -6:00 they killl ppls half afk who didn’t rushed intro tower with 0 contribution and with the help of ally’s left on wall + an warrior and lose the tower .6:00 – 7.45 he was totaly ignored even if he didn’ stealthed , killed enemy’s with help of ppls from the wall probably who were on balista’s
So what is so OP ?
if they were 3 warriors , all they had to do is jump with 3 GS combo and finished video in 2 minutes

Well….a buff to other people’s skill level is kind of called for. I see a lot of them trying to shoot the Thieves out of Dagger Storm. That’ll make a bad day for anyone.
What I really think we are seeing here is the use of the culling system vs. opposing swarms. Notice how most of those guys just ignore the spinning Thieves in the center of their mass? I would imagine there are at least a few skilled players in that group who would absolutely demolish 2-3 spinning Thieves in their midst if they could only see them.
